#PinkTutuBlogLondon: A Tutu-tiful Friday in London! (Post #375)
Hello darlings! It's Friday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Blog post, this time straight from the heart of London town! I've packed my pinkest tutu (of course), my favourite Mary Janes, and a whole lotta excitement for a whirlwind day of exploring the city that never sleeps!
As you all know, I love travelling by train. The rhythmic clickety-clack of the wheels and the views whizzing past are so dreamy! Today's journey from my lovely Derbyshire home to London Euston was particularly magical. The countryside was a riot of autumn colours, and the crisp air was just begging to be breathed in!
I’ve already mentioned my absolute favourite pink tutu for today! I found it in a vintage shop in my little Derbyshire town – it’s a vintage one but still in pristine condition! I feel so elegant in it, and even my Grandma has given it her seal of approval! (My grandma is a bit of a vintage expert, so that really means something!). It's such a thrill to wear my tutus beyond the studio, and I think they make a perfect statement about my whimsical and fun-loving spirit.
Anyway, London was waiting for me. Once I had my bearings and a delicious hot chocolate, my heart was already set on a day of discovering London's best bits!
A Shopping Spree with a PurposeNo London adventure would be complete without a spot of shopping! First stop was Harrods, the most iconic department store in the world! Just stepping through those giant doors felt like entering a dream! I was completely overwhelmed by all the beauty and elegance surrounding me. Of course, I just had to check out the gorgeous ladies' wear department! You could easily get lost in the aisles, and I’d love to just have a massive wardrobe to fill up!
My shopping wasn't just about getting treats for myself – it's part of a bigger mission! You see, I believe every single one of you should embrace the power of pink and the joy of tutus. I aim to spread the pink tutu revolution throughout the world. Imagine, if all the ladies out there strutted their stuff in twirly, beautiful tutus! The world would be a more sparkly, joyful place.
Anyway, I got a few sparkly, whimsical pink accessories – a beautiful broach in the shape of a little ballerina and a pair of the cutest pink ballet slippers! And let's not forget a magnificent pink-tutu themed scarf to bring a little ballerina magic into my every day! Now I’m looking for some fantastic London tutus and pink accessories to fill the gap in my wardrobe! Anyone have any fabulous places I need to go?! Let me know!
The Power of PinkTalking of pink, one of my favourite London landmarks has to be the amazing pink building in Covent Garden. It’s just a touch of London’s glamourous Victorian past. It really does bring the place to life! It is a gorgeous mix of pastel shades, and you can’t help but be in awe!
Pink makes me happy, so I love spotting it in all its shades in London's amazing architecture, on vibrant clothes, and on little trinkets that capture the city’s sparkle. Don't get me wrong – all colours are beautiful, and everyone should feel empowered to embrace their individual style. But for me, pink just radiates joy!
Royal Family Feels at Kensington PalaceI knew I just had to visit Kensington Palace! The beautiful gardens were in their full autumnal glory – everything was golden and glistening! I could imagine myself twirling through them with a magnificent ballerina dress, even though I only had my gorgeous pink tutu! (This, I decided, will be the place for my next photoshoot!)
But my real favourite was wandering through the Royal Family's living quarters! It was amazing to see how they lived. I felt a bit like Cinderella – or rather, a princess ballerina in a sparkly tutu! There’s just such a history in every room, you could just lose yourself for days and hours, dreaming of stories from long ago!
Backstage at the Ballet!Of course, no London trip for a tutu-loving ballerina would be complete without seeing a ballet performance! Tonight I am off to the Royal Opera House! I've heard great things about “Swan Lake," and I cannot wait to witness the sheer grace of the ballerinas. I can’t tell you how excited I am to be able to take in another amazing show tonight! I can't wait to share the beauty and power of ballet with all of you, even from the comfort of my armchair.
I can’t leave London without spending a bit of time around the Coliseum in London’s West End! Just imagine - those giant pink letters with "THE LONDON COLISEUM!" My inner ballerina was practically jumping for joy! (Okay, I admit, I actually did twirl around for a moment, and a couple of passers-by gave me some encouraging nods!)
You just feel the history here in the heart of West End Theatre – there are countless shows and stories to discover! Just imagine the actors that have trod these boards! There are legends of the world on that stage! And this, darling, is where the theatre magic happens!
Back to the Studio... but London CallingOf course, after such a hectic day of exploring London, I’ll be needing a good rest. The life of a ballerina is all about hard work and dedication. Tomorrow, it’s back to the dance studio! (A little London souvenir shopping will be included – but hush!) I wouldn't have it any other way – but don’t be fooled, I’ll be back in London soon! There's always more to see, explore, and discover in this magical city!
And you can follow my tutu-tastic journey! Check out my blog every Friday! And remember, embrace the power of pink! You’ll never regret letting your inner ballerina shine! Until next week, darlings!
Love and tutus,
Emma xoxo
