Pink Tutu Blog: London Calling! 🩰 (Post #417)

Hello lovelies!

It's Friday, which means it's time for a brand new Pink Tutu Blog post! I'm so excited because I'm in London, and London is absolutely bursting with pink-tastic potential!

I arrived this morning, whizzing down from Derbyshire on a gloriously sunny train ride. Nothing beats the view of the English countryside rolling past as the train speeds along. I always feel like a character from a vintage film, my pink tutu billowing slightly as the carriage sways with each turn of the tracks. 💖

As soon as I arrived, I grabbed a cuppa from the station cafe - I’m a proper tea girl you know - and set off to explore. London feels alive, bursting with energy and anticipation, the streets buzzing with people heading out to the shops and theatres. My trusty tote bag is packed with essentials – a copy of my favourite book The Secret Garden, my trusty travel sewing kit (for any pink-tutu emergencies!), and of course, a miniature bottle of bubble bath - because a girl always needs a good soak after a day of adventure, right?

Now, my trip to London is all about combining my passions - ballet, fashion, and a sprinkle of that fabulous theatre magic that only London can offer. And speaking of theatre, wouldn't you know it, Les Misérables just opened a few days ago! Sigh If you follow me on Instagram, you know how much I adore this show.

I just couldn't resist booking tickets to see it tonight. The entire performance has such powerful themes – love, hope, justice. And just imagine all the incredible costumes! I'm going to be so inspired! My Pink Tutu Blogger uniform is all ready to go - I'm rocking a powder pink tulle tutu paired with a classic black T-shirt and a fabulous pink faux fur coat for that added London edge! And, of course, some dainty sparkly ballet flats. ✨ I’ll make sure I take some fab snaps later, don’t you worry!

But first, let's dive into a day of delightful discoveries. My first stop was Liberty London – an absolute haven of fabrics, prints, and beautiful homeware. It's a whimsical, historical wonderland that always makes me feel like I've stepped into a fairy tale. The Liberty print silk scarf that caught my eye is destined to become the centerpiece of my latest Pink Tutu fashion creation.

From there, a delightful wander through Covent Garden led me to The National Gallery. I could spend hours gazing at the paintings, finding inspiration in the rich colors, the captivating expressions, the beauty captured in each brushstroke. It's amazing how art, fashion, and ballet all connect on such a deep level – all forms of expression and storytelling in their own unique way.

And what's a trip to London without a little shopping spree? I mean, darling, London's shopping is absolutely legendary! I couldn't resist indulging in a few pieces of gorgeousness - some chic lace gloves, a blush pink floral handbag, and a sparkling jeweled headband. (Okay, maybe that last one wasn't entirely necessary... but can you blame me?)

Next, it's off to visit the Royal Opera House – a grand building that exudes history, grace, and pure theatrical magic. Even without a performance, the feeling of anticipation and excitement in the air is electrifying. This evening’s Les Misérables performance is going to be utterly phenomenal! I can feel it!

Now, back to a bit of a girly-girl confession... you know how I absolutely adore pink? It's my favorite color, hands down. And I was utterly delighted when I discovered The Pink Teacup - an absolutely adorable cafe near Trafalgar Square. It’s like stepping into a dollhouse - all pink floral patterns, vintage china, and delicious homemade cakes. I must have tried at least 3 of those! It's pure pink paradise! You see, London's full of hidden gems - it just needs you to look with a curious, girly heart, like I do!

Tonight’s performance will be an unforgettable highlight – the energy, the passion, the pure talent - I'm positively giddy! It's the best way to wrap up a pink-tastic day!

Stay tuned lovelies, because I'll be sharing my London adventures on my Pink Tutu Instagram feed all weekend! So, get ready to join me on this fabulous London adventure.

Keep those pink tutus twirling! 💖

And remember, if you see me in a London theatre tonight, please feel free to wave! I’d love to make new friends and inspire even more ladies to twirl around London in a gorgeous pink tutu!

Until next time!

Emma
