Pink Tutu Blog: London Calling! (Post #709)

Hello darlings! It's Emma, your favourite pink-tutu-clad ballerina, and I'm absolutely bursting with excitement to share my London adventures with you all! As you know, every Friday is Pink Tutu Blog day, and today is extra special because… well, I'm in LONDON!

You see, my little cherubs, I've been touring around the country with my ballet company, performing in some fantastic venues. This week we've been showcasing our latest production of "Sleeping Beauty" in a gorgeous old theatre in Derby. The audience was simply divine, so enthusiastic, and the whole experience filled me with so much joy. Now, as soon as the curtain fell on our final performance, I packed my pink sparkly suitcase (couldn't travel without it, could I?), jumped on the train and arrived in London feeling positively electric.

The Journey

My dear reader, travelling by train is an absolute treat. Watching the world whizz by, especially from a first-class carriage (oh yes, a ballerina has to travel in style, you know!), fills me with such peace and joy. This train journey, in particular, was filled with so much anticipation for what was to come!

London: The Land of Pink Dreams

So, I’m here in London, the heart of the fashion world. It's bustling and full of excitement, and for a pink-loving tutu enthusiast like myself, it's truly magical. Everywhere you look there’s something to admire: beautiful buildings, charming shops overflowing with unique finds, and oh my, the people! Londoners have a unique energy and charm, all wrapped up in such impeccable style!

The Plan

Now, I've packed my itinerary full of delightful London experiences, everything from iconic landmarks to ballet bliss. Here's what I've got in store for my Pink Tutu adventures:

Friday Fun

  1. Breakfast in Notting Hill: Nothing beats a hearty breakfast before a day of exploring. Today, I'm indulging in a quintessential British fry up in Notting Hill.

  2. Shopping Spree in Kensington: Where else but London can one find the most stunning frocks and accessories? The shops along Kensington High Street are a ballerina’s dream come true! I've already picked out a few pieces, oh my goodness, just wait till you see what I snagged!

  3. Pink Tutu Afternoon Tea: Now, this is a treat! The Dorchester Hotel, in all its glamorous grandeur, is offering a special Pink Tutu Afternoon Tea. They’ve even designed a special pink champagne cocktail, oh my! You can’t imagine the photos I'm planning. This is going to be absolute perfection.

  4. Seeing "La Bohème" at the Royal Opera House: A true ballerina has to get their cultural fix, right? The Royal Opera House, an institution in the world of ballet and opera, is playing Puccini’s classic "La Bohème." Imagine a ballet lover like me, enjoying such a timeless story set to the most beautiful music. You know there’s going to be some incredible costume designs. It will definitely be worth taking a tutu-inspired outfit for this, maybe a more classic style this time.

  5. Dinner and Drinks: After the opera, I’ll be savoring a delightful Italian dinner at an intimate restaurant, tucking into delectable pasta and sipping a glass of red wine. I plan to let the day's excitement sink in, watching the city twinkle below, before returning to my cosy hotel for a good night’s sleep.

A Reminder: Don’t forget to wear pink, you hear me? Tutu, not required, but definitely recommended. I mean, what's life without a bit of sparkle and a touch of whimsical joy?

A Word About This Blog:

I do this blog, darling, to bring some pink joy into your lives, to inspire you to embrace your inner ballerina, and to encourage you to find a little bit of magic in your everyday routines. I hope it inspires you to dress up in a pink tutu and embrace the power of happiness, a little bit of frivolity, and most importantly, the spirit of beauty that lives inside us all.

I'm already making plans for my Saturday explorations, and trust me, they're going to be equally as fabulous as this day! So, be sure to tune in next Friday for another Pink Tutu blog adventure! Until then, stay sparkly and keep your tutus at the ready.

Much love,

Emma xoxo

Outfit Inspiration:

Today’s look:

  • A full, flowing pink tutu
  • A delicate lace top
  • My favourite pearl necklace
  • Chic ballerina flats
  • My little pink handbag, of course! (It holds everything a girl needs!)

Fashionable Findings

Oh, did I tell you about the stunning dresses I found in a little vintage boutique in Kensington? One was a vibrant, raspberry-pink tea-dress with a full skirt – perfect for a summer’s day picnic in Hyde Park! And the other, oh the other… was a delicate cream lace number with beautiful pearl detailing, perfect for a sophisticated night at the theatre. You just have to have a little splurge every now and then, you know what I mean?

My Tutu Thoughts:

Life is simply too short to be serious all the time! Wearing a tutu reminds me to embrace joy and lightness. To find wonder in the everyday. And to remind everyone around me that life is beautiful, vibrant, and full of exciting possibilities. Why not join me on my quest? Pick out your favourite pink outfit and go out and embrace the world with confidence and a touch of twirling!

See you next Friday!
