#PinkTutuBlogLondon Friday 2017-10-20 Exploring London

#PinkTutuBlogLondon: Friday, 20th October 2017 - A Tutu-ful London Adventure!

Hello my lovely tutu-wearing lovelies! Welcome to #PinkTutuBlogLondon, post number 1103, coming to you live from the heart of London! This week, I traded my Derbyshire countryside for the bustling city, leaving the crisp autumn air for a day of exploring, theatre, and oh so much pink!

It’s Friday, which means only one thing – time for a #PinkTutuLondon adventure! As usual, I hopped on the train, armed with my trusty pink backpack, ballet flats, and of course, a delightful pink tulle tutu. It’s no secret that I love a good train journey – there’s something so exciting about seeing the scenery whizz by, especially when I know a fantastic day in London awaits!

The moment I arrived, the energy of London hit me like a whirlwind of colour, sound, and delicious aromas. It’s almost impossible to escape the excitement, and frankly, why would you want to? The city itself feels like a stage, constantly abuzz with captivating stories just waiting to be unfurled.

First Stop: Shopping!

Now, no trip to London is complete without a little retail therapy. This time, I was determined to find the perfect pink ensemble for the theatre later that night. You see, I have this rule – my outfits must match the ballet theme! A bright pink sequined top and a fluffy pink skirt seemed like the perfect choice, paired with my signature pink tutu, of course.

We headed straight for Oxford Street, the ultimate playground for a pink tutu-loving shopper! I simply can’t resist a stroll through its bright lights and endless displays of clothes, accessories, and pretty much everything else you could imagine. The air vibrated with energy, filled with the laughter of shoppers and the clinking of coins. The sheer volume of shops was dizzying – you can truly find anything in this bustling wonderland.

My favourite stop had to be the vintage shop tucked away on a side street. With dusty chandeliers casting a romantic glow, the store brimmed with vintage gems just waiting to be discovered. My eyes darted everywhere, taking in the rows upon rows of beautiful dresses and coats. After a bit of searching, I stumbled upon the most perfect vintage pink evening bag – adorned with a beautiful floral design and delicate sequins. It felt like it was made just for me. And who could say no to a bargain? It’s the perfect touch to add a touch of timeless elegance to my already flamboyant look!

Second Stop: Delicious London Bites!

No matter how glamorous the shopping spree, you have to fuel the adventure! My stomach started rumbling with delight as the delicious smells of London street food floated in the air. My choice? A classic London treat: fish and chips, wrapped in newspaper – always the perfect Friday treat. While I can't resist indulging in London's culinary delights, I like to keep things balanced with fresh, colorful fruit from a nearby market. After all, even princesses need their vitamins!

Third Stop: The Majestic Theatre

It was time to hit the West End! With the theatre beckoning, we headed to the majestic Victoria Palace Theatre for a performance of "Wicked." I’d always been mesmerized by this powerful story of the two witches. From the soaring music to the incredible performances, "Wicked" is simply captivating. Each number felt like a beautiful ballet, the music flowing into each movement. The sets were absolutely stunning and the costumes were out of this world! I can't help but get swept away by the emotions, feeling the warmth and beauty of the stories unfolding right before my eyes.

During the interval, I treated myself to some theatre-inspired snacks. You know, popcorn, a little bit of candy, and of course, the essential pink sparkling juice! It felt so luxurious, especially while listening to the snippets of conversation swirling around me. This is one of my absolute favorite parts of theatre experiences – catching the snippets of excited chat as people rush back to their seats, buzzing with excitement about what they just saw.

The Beauty of Theatre

As the curtain fell and the applause roared through the theatre, I was filled with a sense of magic and inspiration. It’s no secret that ballet has always been my true love, and being able to experience the world of theatre through a show like "Wicked" is a privilege I cherish deeply.

Exploring London: My Evening Adventure

After the final curtain, we took a stroll through the evening streets. It’s always a joy to see the city bathed in twilight, the streets a mesmerizing mix of vibrant lights and hushed conversations. London after dark is like a dream, full of mysterious corners, lively pubs, and fascinating faces passing by.

We stopped at a charming café for a hot chocolate topped with fluffy pink marshmallows. The aroma of chocolate and warm milk filled the air as we settled into cozy chairs, wrapped in the soft glow of the lamplight. It’s moments like these, quiet and peaceful, that allow you to truly appreciate the magic of London – a city that can transport you from vibrant streets to enchanting nooks in a matter of moments.

Reflections on a Perfect Day

With my bag packed and the echoes of "Wicked" music swirling in my head, I boarded the train back home, leaving London with a heart full of beautiful memories.

Another #PinkTutuLondon day complete!

If there’s one thing I’ve learnt today, it's this: the true magic of London lies in its ability to weave a captivating story through every corner, every interaction, and every little moment. It’s a city that makes you feel like a princess in a beautiful story, a place that welcomes you with open arms, where you can explore, dream, and most importantly, dance!

Until next time, darling!

Much love,

Emma
