#PinkTutuBlogLondon - Friday 2019-06-07: London Calling!
Post Number: 1188
Hello, my lovely readers! It's Friday and, as always, you know what that means - a new blog post from your favourite tutu-wearing, pink-loving ballerina! 🩰💕
This week, I've hopped on the train from Derbyshire and am heading to the big smoke – London town! It's always a thrill to get on a train, my excitement bubbling like a pot of boiling champagne. I've been eagerly awaiting this trip ever since I booked it, and the feeling of being swept away on the tracks, the world whizzing by the window – ah, pure magic! ✨
London, oh London, with its hidden cobblestone alleys, bustling markets, and oh-so-fabulous shops, always beckons with a captivating promise of adventure. I've got a packed schedule filled with exciting ballet performances, theatrical explorations, and, of course, plenty of time dedicated to those quintessential London activities: discovering hidden cafes, snapping Insta-worthy pictures, and, of course, scouring those gorgeous boutique shops! 🛍️
Speaking of shopping, it wouldn't be a Pink Tutu blog post without mentioning the glorious pink outfit I'm wearing today! It’s a dazzling concoction: a voluminous, bright pink tulle tutu, paired with a matching cropped pink cardigan (which I found for a steal in a little vintage shop near my Derbyshire dance studio), and sparkly pink trainers to add a dash of playful whimsy. 💃
Honestly, I get so many stares and smiles when I walk about in my tutus, and it makes my heart skip a beat! There’s nothing quite like feeling like a whirling, twirling vision in pink! 💕
Today’s itinerary is jam-packed. First on the list: a trip to the National Theatre! I've heard whispers about an incredible dance production – “Antigone Now” - and I’m positively bursting to see it! I adore seeing ballet interpretations of classic works, they offer a unique perspective on the story and are a visual feast. And I can't wait to see the costumes – I just know it’ll be an absolute riot of colours and textures.
After that, a bit of high-tea at Fortnum & Mason (can you imagine a more perfect London afternoon?) before venturing to the Victoria & Albert Museum for an exploration of the fashion department. You know I’m a sucker for a beautifully crafted gown and those ornate period costumes… There’s so much inspiration to be found amongst those historical treasures! 💖
I’ll be posting all the juicy details about my day’s adventures, so keep an eye out for more photos and musings on my Instagram – you can find me at @PinkTutuEmma. I'll even give you a sneak peek of my newest tutu purchase... I think I'll be adding it to my repertoire for my next big ballet performance – just you wait! 🤫
London truly is a city that dances to its own rhythm, full of creativity and charm, and I can’t wait to share my experiences with you! Stay tuned for more #PinkTutuBlogLondon posts – every Friday I'll be bringing you along on my explorations and adventures, from London to the rest of the world! 🌍
For now, I'm off to enjoy the city – and hopefully, spread some Pink Tutu love while I'm at it! Until next Friday, darlings!
Love, Emma
P.S. Remember, I’m all about getting everyone to embrace their inner ballerina and rock a tutu! If you're feeling brave and bold, go ahead and buy one! The world needs more colour and more twirls! 🌸
