Pink Tutu Blog London: Post #1299 - A Pink Tutu-filled Friday in London!

Hello lovelies!

It’s Friday and that means a brand new blog post from your favourite pink tutu-clad adventurer. I’m so excited to share all about my latest escapade to London.

I love catching the train to London, it's such a fun and easy way to travel. Stepping onto the platform feels like I’m stepping into a different world, filled with possibility and a sprinkle of that quintessential London charm. This time, I packed my trusty pink tutu bag filled with essentials - my phone for documenting all the pretty things (and capturing those oh-so-adorable Insta-worthy shots), my notebook for scribbling down ideas for new pink tutu creations, a good book, and of course, my signature pink tutu!

I'm off on a pink tutu pilgrimage, you could say, to embrace everything that makes London so utterly fabulous.

Morning at the Royal Ballet

After a quick coffee and a croissant (always a must in London!), I arrived at the Royal Opera House for a ballet performance. The sheer elegance of the building always takes my breath away - just the perfect place to fuel my passion for the art of ballet. Today’s performance was the ever-charming "The Sleeping Beauty," and as I settled into my seat (surrounded by other pink-tutu enthusiasts, naturally!), the magic of the theatre started to unfold.

Oh, to be a ballerina gracefully gliding across the stage! And with my very own pink tutu twirling at home, it's practically my own little stage too, don’t you think?

The entire performance was a dream, and the pink tulle costumes shimmered under the spotlights like spun sugar. Honestly, my heart swelled with joy.

Afternoon of Fashionable Delights

The afternoon was all about indulgence in my favourite London tradition - a spot of shopping! It’s hard to resist the alluring shop windows filled with the latest fashions, but I made a beeline for Liberty London, one of my absolute must-visit boutiques. You’re sure to find something special here, and of course, it goes without saying that I had to try on some fabulous new frocks, even a sparkly pink one with tulle, naturally!

After indulging in the magic of Liberty’s, I strolled down Regent Street. It's a fantastic place to browse, especially for vintage clothes. The stores there have this wonderful air of elegance, and you can discover hidden treasures tucked away behind beautiful storefronts. And wouldn’t you know it, I snagged a fabulous pair of pink sunglasses! Perfect for protecting those sensitive ballerina eyes while I explore.

Evening with a Theatre Tantalizer

No visit to London is complete without catching a theatre show, and tonight I treated myself to a musical, "Hamilton," one that I've heard rave reviews about for ages! It was everything I imagined - incredible costumes, captivating storytelling, and powerful music. It was simply mesmerising!

I felt inspired, invigorated, and so very happy. The combination of incredible performances and the energy of a London theatre audience was simply magic. And just to keep the theme going, I spotted a lovely young girl in the audience with her own little pink tutu – adorable!

Back to the Station, Memories in Tow

As the day began to wind down, I found myself reflecting on all the wonderful sights and experiences. London truly is a city of enchantment. It was time to head back to my comfy, cosy train carriage, ready to journey home and dream of all the pink tutu wonders I experienced in the vibrant capital.

Until next Friday, keep your tutus twirling and stay inspired!

And before you go, don't forget to share your own London adventures in the comments below!

What’s on in London today - Friday 23rd July, 2021?

As we've stepped into the heart of summer, the city is bursting with events and attractions, just waiting for you to discover. If you happen to be visiting on the same date I was, here's what you can expect:

  • "The Sleeping Beauty" at the Royal Opera House: The ballet performance I enjoyed features classic Tchaikovsky scores and vibrant costumes. It’s a must-see if you're visiting during summer!

  • "Hamilton" at the Victoria Palace Theatre: This iconic musical with a unique soundtrack and powerful story about founding father, Alexander Hamilton, will have you glued to your seat.

  • Shopping on Regent Street and at Liberty London: Grab some treats for your inner fashionista, with exciting designers and independent stores around every corner, especially along the famed Regent Street. Liberty London will also take you on a journey through vintage, modern, and beautiful garments from around the world!

But it’s not just about these events. What makes a London experience truly special? It's the vibe, the energy, and the city’s embrace of every kind of personality and style! It’s about the spontaneous moments – a glimpse of the changing guards, discovering a hidden gem of a cafe, or meeting new people on a stroll through Hyde Park!

Pink Tutu Outfit Ideas

Want to add some pink tutu magic to your London visit? Try these outfits for a fun, stylish look:

  • Daytime at the Theatre: For your ballet trip or even for catching a theatre performance like I did, try pairing your tutu with a flowing white blouse tucked into your favourite high-waisted jeans and elegant, comfortable shoes.
  • Pink Tutu + Summer Outfit: In summer, why not showcase those legs! Go for a vibrant maxi skirt in a bold colour, a white or blush top, and throw on a classic denim jacket on those chilly London evenings!
  • For a Dinner Date: Make an entrance in your pink tutu and an off-the-shoulder blush dress, pairing them with gold jewellery to complement the subtle glamour of your chosen shade.

No matter what you do in London, don’t be afraid to stand out! That pink tutu of yours is your own unique stamp, a beacon of joy, and a statement to embrace your individuality, and the joy that shines within you.
