Pink Tutu Blog London: #1394 - A Whirlwind of Pink in London Town! 🩰🌸
Hello my darlings, and welcome back to another installment of Pink Tutu Blog London! It's Friday, which means it's time for a new blog post - and oh my, do I have a treat for you today! I'm just back from a delightful trip to the capital, my heart still filled with the vibrant energy of London.
As you all know, a London trip is always a joyous adventure for a pink tutu-loving ballerina like me. This week, however, the excitement was cranked up to eleven! You see, it's the birthday of none other than The Queen, a truly iconic woman who epitomises poise, grace, and undeniable style - all attributes I admire deeply. What better excuse to visit London in my favourite pink tutu, right?
Journey to the City of Lights
My journey started as always - in Derbyshire, surrounded by the green fields and rolling hills I call home. It's truly a picturesque part of England, and though I love my home, the pull of London's cultural heartbeat is always strong! So, with my trusty travel companion, the ballet-pink suitcase packed with all my pinkest outfits, I hopped aboard the train. There's something truly magical about travelling by train in the UK, don't you think?
For me, it's not just a means of getting to my destination, it's a chance to soak up the scenery and let my mind wander, crafting new blog posts in my head! With the sun shining through the train window, and the gentle rumble of the wheels, inspiration started to flow! It’s always easier for me to get my creative juices going when I’m travelling, which is definitely something that helps when blogging!
London Arrival!
Reaching London King's Cross Station, I felt that familiar buzz of excitement. I love that moment of stepping onto the platform, feeling the air crackle with possibility, knowing I’m going to make memories and discover new things!
My first stop, naturally, was Liberty London. I've always felt a certain kinship with this store - the beautiful Victorian architecture, the scent of exquisite fabrics, it all makes my heart sing! There's just something so alluring about vintage elegance, and Liberty embodies that spirit perfectly. I couldn't resist treating myself to a stunning silk scarf in shades of pink, naturally!
Theatrical Delights
One of the highlights of my trip had to be seeing a ballet performance at The Royal Opera House. I always feel like a princess stepping into this grand venue! The stunning décor, the anticipation of the performance… It’s all so elegant and timeless. The production we saw this time was “Giselle” – the tale of the ethereal maiden and her heartbroken love, set to the most enchanting music. The performance had me completely enthralled, every single pirouette, every grand jeté - breathtakingly beautiful! I always feel so inspired after watching a truly great ballet performance – it's truly a magical art form!
But I'm not just about classical ballet, my love of performance extends to theatre too. In the heart of the West End, I saw an utterly brilliant production of "The Phantom of the Opera." The singing was truly spectacular, and the sets and costumes, simply breathtaking. You couldn't help but feel swept away by the dramatic tale and its captivating music. I just had to snag myself a souvenir mask – a pink one, of course!
London Fashion & Treats
Shopping for new clothes is something that truly fills me with joy – and this trip to London was no exception! I couldn't resist treating myself to a few new outfits at some of London's top department stores. From whimsical tulle skirts at Harrods, to statement blouses at Harvey Nichols, I found some beautiful pieces that will definitely be making their way into my weekly outfit posts.
And let's not forget the culinary delights London offers! There's a cafe for every taste, every budget, every craving - which is a good thing considering how much I like to eat! From high tea at the iconic The Ritz, to the perfectly presented pastries of Ladurée, London delivers every culinary desire with impeccable charm. It goes without saying that every afternoon tea experience involves at least one pink cake. That's my golden rule – one for every outing.
The London Vibe
There's just something about London's energy – it’s a melting pot of culture, creativity, and passion. You can feel the pulse of a city constantly evolving and pushing boundaries.
One of the places that captured this feeling beautifully is the Southbank. I had to stroll along the River Thames, enjoying the sights of the London Eye and Big Ben, the street performers entertaining the crowds – you can feel the vibrancy and spirit of London at its heart.
Tutuing Through the Capital
This time around, my chosen tutu was a vibrant shade of fuschia. I had to make sure my outfits incorporated pink – after all, this is the essence of my blog. Every single one of my outfits was topped off with a tutu in one way or another, for those moments where it was appropriate. Let's be honest, though, sometimes even the grandest of museums doesn't feel complete without a pink tutu - just saying!
I always receive so much positive attention and comments when I’m out and about wearing a pink tutu in public – it always seems to lift everyone’s spirits and spread joy – which I love! My aim is to make the world a more whimsical and fun place, one tutu at a time!
Back to Derbyshire
My time in London flew by as it always does – I am a firm believer that if you do something you love it's a gift! After a weekend bursting with fun and inspiration, I caught the train back to Derbyshire. As I looked out of the window and watched the iconic city fade into the distance, I felt a surge of contentment – this feeling only a London visit can provide. I couldn't wait to get home and share all my adventures with you in this week's blog!
