Hey lovelies! It's your favourite tutu-clad explorer, Emma, back with another fabulous Friday London blog post! This week I've been indulging in my love of trains, tutus, and, of course, all things fabulous in London!
As always, it's a whirlwind journey for your girl. My Derbyshire roots always call, but the lure of London's endless energy, shimmering lights, and bustling theatres is too strong to resist! I hopped on the train this morning, my tulle skirt swishing excitedly alongside my vintage travel bag (complete with pink velvet lining, naturally!). It's these train journeys that really get my creative juices flowing. Sometimes the most inspiring ideas pop into my head amidst the rhythm of the rails!
I'm in London for a busy weekend filled with ballet, fashion, and, of course, lots of pink! It's always exciting when a performance coincides with my trip. The perfect balance of passion, purpose, and pink! This week, I'm showcasing a beautiful new pink tutu, made especially for a performance I have tonight, and guess what? It's inspired by none other than the stunning "Swan Lake"!
Now, on to the London fun!
Friday's London Adventure
The first thing I did was take a stroll through Hyde Park. Thereās nothing more magical than soaking up the sun amongst the trees, and the beauty of Hyde Park never ceases to amaze.
Feeling famished after my morning jaunt, I knew exactly where to head - a darling little cafĆ© called "Tulips and Tea". You can imagine my excitement upon discovering their entire menu is dedicated to pink ā pink cakes, pink lattes, pink tea! And oh, the pastries are divine! This is truly the embodiment of my pinkest dreams, and definitely my new favourite place in London.
Speaking of my love of the pink, I popped into a lovely shop near Covent Garden, where I managed to score a stunning vintage pink broach ā you wouldnāt believe the bargain! My love for vintage fashion knows no bounds, especially when it involves pink!
But the highlight of my Friday has to be the amazing vintage ballet class I took! We were twirling and pirouetteing like swans at the Royal Opera House - oh, the grace, the beauty! It was truly inspiring to learn new moves in a space filled with such historical ballet magic!
A Look at My Friday Outfit:
I decided to embrace the classic ballet look but with a bit of my own personal flare. Today's outfit is my "London ballerina" look!
- My new bright pink, tutu - with just a hint of sparkles - for that touch of magic.
- My ballet pumps - of course, pink! - with some charming vintage brooches on the laces.
- My classic white button-up shirt, perfect for layering under the tutu for a graceful and slightly dramatic look!
- My vintage pink bomber jacket. It's perfect for adding a pop of pink against the London cityscape.
- A touch of my favourite vintage pearl necklace ā I love the way it shines.
- I finished off the look with my trademark pink blush ā pink for cheeks is just as important as pink in your outfit.
Let me tell you, strutting around London in this outfit feels pretty fantastic! The tutu is a real conversation starter and every now and then I catch a glimpse of someoneās admiring look! But donāt think for a second that it's all about me! Seeing others smile and brighten up is the best reward, which brings me toā¦

My weekend is filled with fantastic events, starting with a glamorous ballet performance. This weekend is dedicated to āSwan Lakeā in its entire majestic beauty. The swans, the music, the captivating performanceā¦ I canāt wait!
Saturday is dedicated to London's bustling market scene. I'm searching for those unique vintage treasures to add to my collection ā thereās nothing more thrilling than finding a gem hidden amongst old wares!
Sunday is a day for some pampering ā a bit of a spa day with the girls! Nothing quite like relaxing with a good chat and a little pink nail polish, eh?
And thenā¦ back on the train I go, my heart filled with the sweet memory of London magic! I love being able to combine my love of travel, pink, and dance into this wonderful life!
