Pink Tutu Milan #869: A Day of Pink and Plié in the Fashion Capital!

Buongiorno, darling tutu lovers! It's your favourite pink-clad ballerina, Emma, reporting live from the glorious city of Milan, the fashion capital of the world! And you know what they say... fashion and ballet? A match made in heaven!

This week has been a whirlwind of tulle, sequins, and Italian espresso - it's definitely a dolce vita kind of existence for this pink tutu enthusiast. Let's dive right into the magic, shall we?

The Journey Begins!

It's Monday, February 1st, and I woke up with the kind of excitement that only a trip to Milan can bring. You know those moments where the sun peeks in your window, and all you can think is "tutus, tramlines, and tramezzi"? Yep, that was me this morning.

Now, I wouldn't be a true tutu traveller without a dash of Pink Tutu planning! The Tram #2 journey from my cozy Airbnb (which I must mention has a stunning view of the Duomo) is the ultimate morning routine. It's like a mobile runway, darling, with me and my perfectly pink ensemble making the locals gasp in delight. And, let's not forget the iconic tram ticket... I always make sure to keep a pink tutu wrapped around it!

From the Stage to the Boutique!

Speaking of gasp-inducing displays, I simply had to see the Ballet National de Cuba perform at the glorious Teatro degli Arcimboldi this evening! The dancers were a beautiful blend of strength and elegance, their leaps and turns sending shivers down my spine. Their pink tutus, of course, were perfect. There’s just something about seeing a performance on a historic stage that stirs something deep within a ballet fanatic.

After the show, I couldn't resist a detour to the heart of Milan, the Quadrilatero della Moda. It was a feast for my eyes! You can imagine my pink tutu whirling around those luxury shops - a ballet performance in itself, I dare say! I simply had to find a new dress to showcase on my upcoming Pink Tutu evening at the Teatro La Scala next week. After all, it's the home of opera and ballet in Milan, and one must always be ready for the spotlight.

Milanese Flavours and Tulle Touches!

While it’s not all tutus and boutiques, my trip wouldn't be complete without a taste of authentic Milanese cuisine! My personal recommendation? L'Ostellino, a small, traditional trattoria near my apartment. It was absolutely enchanting! The aromas from their open kitchen and their warm, family-friendly atmosphere made it a true highlight. Their tortellini in broth is a MUST try for every Pink Tutu traveller.

Balancing Ballerina Life!

Okay, so I know you're wondering, “Emma, how do you fund these incredible adventures? Is it just from tutus and tiaras? (Maybe if we asked nicely...). Well, as you all know, my heart beats to the rhythm of the stage. To afford these experiences, I dance! I perform at theatres and even ballet classes across Europe. It's a balancing act, but for me, it's worth every single plié and pirouette.

From Milan with Love... (and Pink Tutul!)

And there you have it! Another fabulous day filled with pink tutus, Milanese elegance, and a sprinkle of balletic magic! The Pink Tutu adventures just keep on flowing! I'm already looking forward to sharing next week's blog post about the grand Teatro La Scala. I hear they have some spectacular costume displays that will blow you all away!

Until next Monday, darlings! Stay vibrant, keep twirling, and most importantly, remember… every day can be a Pink Tutu Day!

Lots of Love!

Emma
