Pink Tutu Milan: A Whirlwind Wednesday! (#942)

Buongiorno, my darlings! It's Wednesday, and guess what? I'm in Milano, Italy! It feels like ages since my last trip, and this one is already bursting with pink tutu moments. Honestly, this city is made for twirling! The cobblestone streets, the bustling piazzas, the historic buildings... everything just screams, "Pink Tutu, Emma, make your entrance!"

As you know, I live by the motto "Live, laugh, and wear pink tutus," and that's exactly what I'm doing here in Milan. The city has welcomed me with open arms, and even the pigeons seem to be charmed by my fuchsia feather boa (don't judge – a girl's gotta make a statement, even when perched on a bench by the Duomo!)

Now, let's rewind to my journey. I left my Derbyshire home with my trusty suitcase crammed full of tutus (one never knows when you might need an extra layer of tulle!), a hefty dose of enthusiasm, and the promise of a ballet extravaganza in the heart of Italy. The train journey was pretty epic – my fellow passengers were entranced by my vibrant pink outfit (I'm convinced the conductor was whistling the Nutcracker Suite!).

My first order of business once arriving in Milan? Shopping, of course! I just love wandering the streets, exploring hidden boutiques and picking up the most divine Italian designs. I even found a delightful pink velvet clutch, perfect for my theatre trips. Don't be surprised to see a post dedicated entirely to my Milanian finds!

Speaking of theatre, the highlight of my Wednesday so far was the ballet! "La Bayadère" by the Teatro alla Scala. Just incredible! I swear, the dancers floated across the stage, defying gravity and making my heart soar. There was this one solo… I don't know how many times I caught my breath. And the costumes? Oh, the costumes! Feathery, jewel-toned, and with so much glitter… it's a good thing I had my own glitter makeup on – wouldn't want to be outdone by the stage, you know!

Milan is a treasure trove of fashion and artistry, and I'm absorbing every detail. From the elegant Italian women sporting their sleek outfits to the artistic murals that grace the city walls, this place has inspired my creative juices. I've been taking mental notes for my own pink tutu choreography (you know I've got something in the works!).

And, of course, my trip wouldn't be complete without enjoying the culinary delights that Italy offers. Last night, I had the most delicious pasta in a charming little trattoria near the Duomo. They even gave me a complimentary rosebud – very romantic! Today, I'm off to explore a traditional bakery – I'm hoping they'll have some pink icing for my morning pastry (I can't help it, pink is my thing!).

My Wednesday in Milan has been a delightful mix of ballet, shopping, and sightseeing, all with a touch of pink tutu magic. I feel so energized, ready to face the rest of my Italian adventure with a twirl in my step. Don't worry, you'll get all the details about my remaining days here on this blog – just be sure to subscribe so you don't miss a single sprinkle of my Italian adventure.

And before I go, let me know… what is your favourite ballet? Let's chat in the comments!

With a flurry of tulle and a smile,
