This is Emma from Derbyshire, bringing you the latest instalment of Pink Tutu Milan. It's been a whirlwind week here in the fashion capital of the world, and I'm overflowing with stories and photos to share!
Milan, my love affair continues...
My mission to turn the world pink, tutu by tutu, is well underway, and Milan is definitely my kind of playground! The energy here is electric, especially with the Milano Moda Donna fashion week in full swing. I've been soaking up the latest trends and sketching new pink tutu outfit ideas, inspired by the incredible designers showcasing their collections.
Speaking of outfits, let me tell you, Milan is a city where even your commute is a fashion show! Stepping onto the trams in my pinkest tutu always sparks a smile - you'd be surprised how many locals have complimented my outfit! They've been curious to learn about my travels and my passion for the graceful twirl. And that's how it all begins - one tutu, one conversation at a time.
A Ballerina's Paradise:
Milan is a paradise for a ballerina like me. The architecture, the beautiful gardens, the stunning fountains... it all inspires my imagination and ignites my inner dancer. The other day, I stumbled upon the Teatro alla Scala - Italy's most famous opera house, where a legendary opera house called La Traviata was on the bill! It was an evening filled with stunning costumes, mesmerising voices, and, of course, incredible drama!
The most wonderful thing about these operas and ballet shows is the impact they have on me - they are pure artistry. They allow me to let my mind wander and lose myself in the magic of storytelling. They leave me yearning for the stage, for the graceful steps, for the delicate pirouettes, and the joy of expressing emotions through movement.
A Tutu-licious Shopping Spree
No trip to Milan is complete without a shopping spree! This week I've been flitting from boutique to boutique, seeking out those one-of-a-kind pieces that will make my heart flutter. I found the most delightful vintage shop on Via Dante. Hidden away in a narrow, cobblestone street, it's a treasure trove of beautiful lace, velvet, and silk. They even had a couple of gorgeous vintage tutus that I simply couldn't resist! One in a delicate blush pink with lace trim, the other in a bolder crimson that I know will turn heads wherever I go!
Of course, no shopping trip is complete without a spot of indulgence in a truly heavenly gelato! The flavour this time was a dreamy rose and lavender with swirls of pistachio - it was divine!

But my trip wouldn't be complete without sharing my adventures with you, my Pink Tutu Fam! That's why I post on www.pink-tutu.com every Monday. And to keep the blog buzzing, I try to write up a little diary-style post about each day I spend in Milan!
Dancing Through Milan's Streets
For me, Milan is more than just a fashion capital, it's a canvas for creativity. I love to express myself through dance, and Milan's charming streets and squares provide the perfect backdrop for impromptu ballet sessions. The other day, I even stumbled upon a group of street performers and was so impressed with their talent that I spontaneously joined in on their dance!
The freedom of dancing in public has always been a huge part of my passion. Seeing others respond to it, taking pictures, smiling and clapping - this is what my dream is all about, sharing the love of dance with the world, and yes, hopefully making everyone feel comfortable in a tutu!
Dreams of a Dance Stage:
Of course, while I'm twirling through Milan's cobbled streets and exploring its beautiful plazas, I'm always dreaming of performing on a grand stage. I'm saving every penny earned from my ballet performances, funding this adventure and the next. My aim is to make a name for myself as a ballerina, one tutu-tastic step at a time.
