Pink Tutu Milan - #1765 - Wednesday 4th April 2029 - Spring in Milan!

Hello my dearest Tutu Tribe! ? ?

I'm writing to you from Milan, Italy! It's been an absolute whirlwind of a few days, filled with delicious food, amazing ballet, and of course, a little bit of shopping. As usual, I'm sporting my trusty pink tutu (this time it's a gorgeous, flowy tulle number I picked up at a vintage shop in Paris – just picture a 1950s Parisian ballerina! ?). I just love how it catches the sunshine as I wander through the city. ☀️

Now, you know I'm always up for a bit of adventure, and what better adventure than exploring the world with my passion for ballet? This time around, I was invited to see a performance at the Teatro alla Scala – a true Milanese gem! ✨ I'll be honest, I was utterly starstruck when I saw the theatre. It's opulent beyond anything I've ever seen! All gold and velvet, chandeliers glittering, and just… majestic. ?

La Bayadère: A Dance of Passion

This week's performance was a stunning interpretation of La Bayadère, a classical ballet about love, betrayal, and ultimately, redemption. The dancing was phenomenal, of course, with breathtaking leaps, flowing arabesques, and intricate footwork. I was particularly moved by the lead dancer, she was absolutely captivating! She just emanated strength and grace. ?

But there's something truly special about seeing ballet in a venue with such history and artistry. It's like the performance comes alive, taking on a whole new level of magic. I spent the entire performance feeling utterly enthralled, transported to another world by the beauty and emotion on stage. ?

Milanese Adventures: Trams and Treats

Now, when I'm not in a tutu twirling through the city (or marveling at incredible ballet performances!), I've been busy exploring the cobbled streets of Milan, hopping on the trams and soaking up the bustling Italian atmosphere. ? The streets here are just a feast for the eyes - vibrant buildings with their intricate details, charming shops selling everything from fresh flowers to delicious cheeses, and oh, the gelato! ? There's something so delightful about stopping for a cone of gelato on a sunny afternoon, watching the world go by. ?

Speaking of delicious treats, I've had my fair share of delicious Milanese delicacies this week! From creamy risotto to mouth-watering pasta dishes, every meal has been an explosion of flavors and aromas. My tummy is certainly happy! ? Of course, no Italian trip is complete without a good dose of pizza. And let me tell you, the pizza here is absolutely divine! ? I tried a new place in the heart of the city last night – they make a spectacular vegetarian pizza topped with all sorts of fresh vegetables. My tastebuds are still singing about it! ?

Fashion Finds and Tutu Tales

I've also discovered some lovely shops during my adventures! I found a vintage clothing store in a quiet corner of the city and I ended up scooping up a beautiful, vintage pink jacket! ? I knew it would be perfect for my wardrobe! I simply adore vintage clothing – I've found the most amazing outfits and accessories through the years. Each piece tells a story and holds a special bit of history! ✨

Wearing a Tutu to Embrace the Joy of Life

Of course, the best part about Milan? The people! Everyone I've met has been so kind, welcoming, and just full of joy! ? They seem to really embrace the beauty of life and celebrate all the little things that make it special.

Maybe that's why I'm so drawn to Italy? There's a real zest for life here, a kind of unapologetic joy. And, I just know wearing my pink tutu just enhances the whole experience! ? It brings a little bit of fun and whimsy to the streets and makes everything feel a bit more magical. ?

You know, that's what I truly hope to do with Pink Tutu Milan - spread that joy, that magic! I want to encourage everyone to wear their own personal 'pink tutu' - to embrace the things that make them happy, the things that make their hearts sing, the things that make them feel truly alive! ❤️ Whether it's a favourite outfit, a particular hobby, a vibrant personality, let's wear it with pride and share it with the world! ✨

Catch you all next Monday with more updates from the amazing city of Milan! ?

Until then, keep spreading that Pink Tutu magic!

Love, Emma x
