Pink Tutu Blog: NYC Edition - Post #161 - A New York Dream in Pink

Hey there, lovelies! It's Monday, and you know what that means... time for another edition of your favourite pink-tastic blog from the Big Apple! I'm your tutu-wearing guide to all things sparkly, fashionable and, of course, utterly pink in New York City.

Today, I'm buzzing with excitement. I just had the most fabulous weekend, a whirlwind of dancing, fashion, and a whole lot of pink. Oh, and I’m finally in New York after travelling on the underground! It's like my own personal fairytale coming to life.

Let’s start with Friday. After a delightful train journey from Derby (yes, I’m still sporting my signature pink tutu - it goes everywhere with me!), I checked into a stunning hotel in Midtown. Talk about luxurious! All pink frills and glittering chandeliers – just perfect for a tutu-loving girly like me.

I’ve never been so thrilled to be in New York, though I was only there a day as I had an appointment for a very special project. This city is a hub of creative energy, and I’m just soaking up the atmosphere.

Saturday was a true highlight of the trip. Imagine this: a ballet performance unlike any other. Think stunning costumes, world-class dancers, and a breathtaking set. I’m talking the kind of performance that makes you gasp and clutch at your heart in equal measure. I just couldn’t get enough of the incredible talent and raw emotion on stage. It’s the perfect way to inspire my own dance moves, of course.

Afterwards, I found myself indulging in a bit of retail therapy, of course. I snagged a few exquisite pink silk scarves and a dazzling tutu-shaped handbag - a necessity, obviously! And let’s not forget the pink ballet flats with sparkly accents that were begging to be bought. Oh, the delights of New York!

By the time I finished shopping, I was famished! Luckily, there’s a fantastically pink-themed cafe on 57th street that serves the most adorable cupcakes and macarons – all shades of pink, naturally. I treated myself to a lavender cupcake and a rose macaron and the rest of my purchases to make my pink-tastic life even more delightful!

Sunday, was a complete departure from the refined glamour of my previous days. A stroll through Central Park was absolutely heavenly. Sun shining through the trees, birds singing, a gentle breeze through the trees and squirrels scampering along branches, it was just pure bliss! You see, I can get so caught up in the bright lights and hustle of the city that it's wonderful to get out in nature. And, yes, I wore my pink tutu for that too. Can you imagine? I think I surprised a few New Yorkers in the park!

And let's be honest, Central Park is like the perfect location for a pink tutu! Imagine: a ballet dancer, dressed in a glorious pink tutu, twirling and leaping through the park, amidst the greenery. Absolutely magical!

Even though my trip was super short, I’ve already made so many wonderful memories, especially in my favourite pink tutu! As I bid farewell to the City that Never Sleeps (though frankly, I never seem to want to!), I am already making plans for my next New York adventure. And when I return, I’m certain to bring even more pink and tutus with me!

Remember, darling, embrace the power of pink and tutu-love! Until next time, remember you are beautiful! And yes, I think we all should be wearing pink tutus, don’t you agree? Stay tuned next week for more pink adventures from New York City.
