"Oh darling, New York, youāre a city of dreams!" I just canāt help but say it, and I canāt help but twirl. You see, Iāve landed myself smack-bang in the heart of Manhattan, and darling, itās absolutely thrilling! This week, itās all about New York City - and trust me, there's not a dull moment in this dazzling metropolis.
Now, before I go any further, let's just say that finding a tutu shop here in New York City was a bit of a dream come true. Just imagine it, my dear: racks upon racks of beautiful tutus in every shade of pink you can dream up, each one ready to give you that fairytale feeling.
As always, this week has been full of amazing adventures. After all, how could it not be when youāre in a city brimming with creativity and excitement? And of course, no trip to New York City would be complete without a spot of ballet, right? This week, I found myself utterly captivated by "Swan Lake." Oh, the artistry! The graceful dancers, the shimmering costumes, the dramatic music - it just stole my heart! Itās amazing how one art form can hold so much beauty and power, and how a story can be told through only movement and music.
Before we delve into my magical adventures, darling, let me tell you how I managed to get myself here! As you all know, I'm a performing ballerina, and this year has been busy. I've been gracing stages from London to Derbyshire - yes, my very own county - and of course, here in New York City! My favourite ballet has got to be 'Giselle'. It is so passionate and dramatic, full of emotions and stories! Oh, darling, do you know Giselle's costume? Such delicate, flowing silk, just the lightest hint of pink - it was pure magic. And what about the 'Flower Waltz' scene in Act Two? The perfect fairytale. That one scene is why I started my Pink Tutu Blog.
Now, you might wonder how I afford to travel all around the world. Well, my dears, I dance my way to each city! As much as I adore tutus, my true love is the theatre. I'm lucky enough to get paid to dance professionally, and I squirrel away every penny to fund my trips. And when Iām not dancing, I'm out exploring the world, snapping photos for my blog, and yes, sharing the Pink Tutu message with as many people as I can!
Oh, darling, you simply HAVE to see the fashion in this city! I've been completely swept away by the New York style scene - from the street to the theatre. The chic stores are simply fabulous. The New York ladies, they truly know how to put together a striking look, whether itās their evening attire or the everyday outfits on the bustling sidewalks. I just adore watching the mix and match of creativity and effortless style here. You see, I firmly believe that pink tutus make any outfit fabulous, from casual jeans to a sleek cocktail dress, and I try to show you all how it's done on this very blog.
New York City - a real fashion powerhouse. This city, she knows her colours and loves them bold! You might see a vibrant pink top worn with black pants in the chic boutiques and a hot pink tutu worn by a young dancer - maybe that's me! - heading off to the theatre. I even discovered a shop bursting with everything pink: think adorable tutus, ballerina slippers in various shades of pink, even sparkly pink hair accessories, and gorgeous sparkly pink gowns fit for a princess.
Right now, my room is just a explosion of colour, overflowing with all the pink outfits Iāve purchased in New York. And I've just been browsing through the shops here, thinking I just might get a bit more. Who knows, maybe a new tutu will end up being part of the āPink Tutu" style! Itās all about finding that touch of playful and fabulous for any outfit.

Monday, 7th August:
"And so, here I am - back in New York City, my dear! The subway station was absolutely buzzing. There were all sorts of characters, all dashing off to their own adventures, but that's the magic of New York City. There was a beautiful lady dressed in black, she looked elegant and powerful, with bright red shoes ā a real statement. And of course, I was rocking my pink tutu, ready to see the city shine!"
Tuesday, 8th August
"Today was about delving deeper into New York's incredible world of culture and entertainment, with a trip to the Brooklyn Museum, a delightful detour to Times Square, and of course, some yummy New York treats! And speaking of yummy, it wouldnāt be New York City without indulging in delicious slices of pizza - trust me, they are simply the best! Oh, the pepperoni - I am simply mad about pepperoni! I made sure to find a nice cozy Italian cafe to sip on a little cappuccino, and that, darling, is the very epitome of a true New York City day - a little bit of culture, a dash of shopping, a sprinkle of tasty treats, and plenty of sights to see!"
Wednesday, 9th August:
"Darling, today was a whirlwind of energy. First up was Central Park, and let me tell you, this green oasis is pure magic. I could wander amongst its paths and trees forever. But a little birdy told me that you simply must watch a performance of "Carousel" at the Public Theater. Darling, I swear to you, there was a little magic sprinkled around, and it reminded me that thereās real magic to be found in the ordinary things. It made me realise that it's those small moments - the sound of a laugh, the warmth of the sun, the beauty of a single flower - that truly fill life with joy."
Thursday, 10th August:
"Now, it was time to delve into a little bit of fashion therapy! As a true aficionado of style and flair, New York City was a dream come true. I got to take a dip in some seriously chic shops in SoHo! Let's just say I snagged a little something pink and sparkling to make my new York wardrobe all the more fabulous!"
Friday, 11th August "The weekend is upon us, but that doesnāt mean the fun stops! I decided to experience the best of New Yorkās artistic world by attending the spectacular āSleep No More" interactive play, and wow, what a spectacle. The captivating storyline, the stunning costumes, the thrilling atmosphere - oh, it was just perfect! I danced right along to the pulsating music in the dark and shadowy spaces - it really put my feet on a ballet roll."
Saturday, 12th August:
"My dear, what's more fabulous than catching a show in the city that never sleeps? Today I took in a wonderful ballet performance in New Yorkās most iconic and enchanting venues ā Carnegie Hall! My inner ballerina just took flight! After that amazing spectacle, I danced my way through Times Square - all sparkling and bright and exciting. I really think New York just had me spellbound."
Sunday, 13th August:
āOh darling, I hope youāre all having a beautiful day. Here in New York City, itās a time to rest and recharge, to find my way around even more corners, discover little gems and capture the sights! And today, I did! I spent hours at the New York Public Library - just browsing and enjoying the magic of those quiet moments, amidst stacks of amazing stories, surrounded by endless potential, it felt absolutely wonderful.ā
