Hello, my darling dears! It's Emma here, fresh off the metro, sequins shimmering and tutu twirling, ready to share another week of adventures in the Big Apple! 🍎
This week, New York has been a whirl of glitter and grace, with a pinch of pink, of course! You see, my dear readers, my mission in life is simple: to spread the joy of the pink tutu, one twirl at a time! 🩰✨
And what better place to spread this delightful message than in the fashion capital of the world, right? I've been on a mission to conquer the city, one performance, one shop, and one stunning outfit at a time!
But first, a quick trip back to Derbyshire, where I spent last week! As a budding ballerina, I juggled performances, ballet classes, and my usual shopping spree – I did find the most beautiful new pair of pink ballet shoes! 💕👠 - all whilst maintaining my blog, of course. But I couldn’t resist a little peak into the local vintage shops for some fashion inspiration. Found some fantastically vibrant patterns to inspire a future outfit post. Can’t wait to put it all together!
Speaking of fashion, I recently took a detour into the amazing world of vintage! A friend suggested I look around the vintage shops in Brooklyn for some unique finds, and boy oh boy! You wouldn't believe the incredible selection of fabulous fabrics and colours I found! 😍 Vintage fashion truly embodies individuality and a playful sense of style that aligns perfectly with my own approach. I can't wait to put my new vintage finds to use in my upcoming dance routines. 💃
Of course, my trip to New York wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Broadway! Let me tell you, I haven't been so dazzled by a stage in ages! Seeing "The Phantom of the Opera" truly took my breath away! Those costumes, those set designs! Breathtaking! You'd think I'd been in the front row at the Bolshoi Ballet with all the gasping and whooping! 🤭 Oh, the grandeur, the romance, the sheer beauty of it all! 💖
Pink Tutu Power!
Now, for the pièce de résistance of my trip to the city! You won't believe what I found: A PINK TUTU SHOP! I've found my heaven, darlings! Rows and rows of twirling delight, and every colour under the rainbow (with an extra focus on my favourite colour, obviously!) 😍✨ My own little personal paradise! I couldn't leave without buying at least five tutus - the sale prices were outrageous! 😉 I've even got some new tutus for my performance coming up in a few weeks!
Speaking of performance, you're not going to believe what's happening this Saturday! I'm performing a special piece in Central Park! Can you believe it? A performance amidst the majestic skyscrapers, overlooking the bustling city streets below. What an absolutely thrilling opportunity to share my passion for dance in such a dynamic and iconic location!
Of course, what would a ballet blogger be without an eye for fashion? Speaking of fashion... I just had to pick up this adorable little pink handbag with a dainty pearl charm for the performance, it was love at first sight. ✨
As a bonus, my love for all things fabulous extended to a venture to Fifth Avenue for some haute couture browsing. Oh, the elegance and finesse! There are some exquisite designers, my dears. So much talent on display, and oh, those beautiful fabrics, exquisite detailing! I might have added a silk scarf or two to my wardrobe, they really completed my ensemble perfectly! 😉
This week's fashion must-have for my wardrobe: I have to get my hands on some stylish pink platforms to take my outfits to the next level! I mean, what’s a tutu without a fabulous pair of shoes?
And to keep things stylishly pink, I'm adding some extra flair to my New York travels: I've bought myself the most gorgeous floral print pink fabric to decorate my favourite travel bag! 🌼 Pink it up! This city is already vibrant with personality, but it’s even more fun in pink!
You've simply got to experience the magic of New York in pink. The colours, the lights, the city that never sleeps - all wrapped up in my favourite shade. 💗 I love getting lost in the energy and the bustling activity. It feels as though everything in the city is alive, buzzing with colour and enthusiasm!
