The Metro: My Runway to Dance Dreams
The iconic New York subway, the Metro, is an incredible place for a ballet dancer and a fashion lover to get a dose of everyday street style. I spotted some delightful outfits this week. Think sequins, florals, and fabulous boots that could rival my own! My go-to outfit for commuting was a chic little pink lace dress with a splash of silver jewellery, topped off with, of course, my pink tulle tutu! Even in the Metro, you've gotta rock a bit of pink, darlings!
A Breathtaking Ballet Showcase
On Thursday, I was lucky enough to see the most captivating ballet performance by the American Ballet Theatre at the Metropolitan Opera House. A feast for the eyes! The dancers' precision and artistry left me speechless. The stunning costumes were like a fairytale come to life, with intricate detailing and vibrant colours that simply took my breath away. You can bet I'm already making plans to catch another show next week!
A Pink Oasis in the City: My Favourite Boutique
No trip to New York is complete without some fabulous shopping. I discovered a little pink haven called "Pink Petals," a charming boutique nestled in the heart of Greenwich Village. The shop oozed sophistication, with walls adorned in rose-toned wallpapers and racks bursting with exquisitely feminine dresses, tops, and skirts. I fell in love with a blush pink silk top and couldn't resist adding it to my ever-growing wardrobe.
My Passion for Pink & Broadway Bliss
I swear, darling, you can't turn a corner in New York without encountering a bit of Broadway magic. This week I caught "Wicked," and oh my, it was a delightful theatrical treat! The vibrant costumes, powerful vocals, and imaginative storytelling had me completely captivated. And let's be honest, there was some fabulous pink going on with Glinda's dress, shall we say? My fellow pink lovers would be completely enraptured by the costumes.
Fueling My Dance Dreams with Delicious Eats
One of my favourite ways to explore a new city is through its food! This week, I enjoyed some scrumptious afternoon tea at the enchanting "Tea & Sympathy" in the West Village. I felt transported back to London for a couple of hours, indulging in delicate finger sandwiches, fresh scones, and steaming cups of Earl Grey. It was pure heaven!
Street Style Inspiration
While strolling down the streets, I noticed an absolute delight - a street performer in a pink tutu, captivating onlookers with her graceful movements. You guessed it, a ballet street performance, and in pink! Talk about inspiration! The confidence in her performance, her passion, and her graceful moves were infectious. I immediately knew this is something I had to incorporate into my own journey – it’s another opportunity to spread the love of pink and ballet across the city.
My Little Pink Empire Grows
Being a Pink Tutu blogger in the big apple is about sharing my passion and spreading my message, “Be a Pink Tutu Warrior!" This week, my blog saw some amazing new subscribers from across the globe. It truly warms my heart to see so many women embracing their individuality and loving pink as much as I do.
