It's Monday morning and I'm back in New York, still buzzing from a weekend of dazzling dance and fabulous fashion. Can you believe it's March already?! Where has the time gone?! I'm pretty sure I was just twirling in my favourite pink tutu in Derbyshire… or was that last year? 😂
Anyway, before I delve into all the wonderful things I got up to this weekend, let's have a little chat about the magical world of… wait for it…
PINK TUTUS!!!
Yup, you know it! I'm on a mission to spread the joy of pink tutus to the entire world! They are the epitome of femininity and fun, and honestly, who doesn't love a bit of pink in their life?! 💖 I saw a few girls in the park rocking pink tutus on Saturday and let me tell you, it was absolute glorious! We need to make it a worldwide trend, my loves! 🌎 Pink tutus for every occasion, from the ballet to the grocery store!
Right, back to New York. As always, I started my weekend by checking out the latest ballet performances at the New York City Ballet. This time around, they were showing a revival of 'Swan Lake', which I haven't seen in ages. The costumes were incredible – those shimmering, white tutus? Pure perfection!
Of course, after a bit of culture, I had to hit the shops! New York is the place for finding the most exquisite fashion. From vintage stores in the East Village to designer boutiques in SoHo, there's something for everyone. This week I snagged a stunning pair of fuchsia heels, the perfect colour to match my current pink tutu obsession. 👠💅
The best part of my weekend though was getting to see the New York Theatre Ballet's new production of "Alice in Wonderland". Oh my gosh! It was truly breathtaking! The set design was spectacular, and the dancers brought all of Lewis Carroll's imagination to life with such grace and precision. My heart was truly stolen by the White Rabbit! 🐇✨
I wouldn't be a true ballerina blogger if I didn't talk about my ballet class! I discovered a fantastic new studio near Central Park and, oh, the magic of it all! From barre exercises to across-the-floor work, we were doing it all. And what's a ballet class without a dash of pink tutu magic? My signature pink tutu certainly made me stand out, especially with those stunning cityscape views outside the window! 🩰🗽
It wouldn't be a New York weekend without a trip to the Museum of Modern Art. And boy, was I blown away by the latest exhibition on Surrealism. The vibrant colours and fascinating shapes really made me think. Sometimes the world just feels like a big, colourful dreamscape, don't you think? 🎨🔮
And of course, I couldn't end my New York adventure without a trip on the subway! You know, a real New York experience! I love navigating through the busy streets and taking in all the sights and sounds, always keeping an eye out for my fellow pink tutu-loving individuals. 💖
So, all in all, another incredible week in New York! But it's time to go now, my loves! I need to get ready for next week's adventures. Until then, keep twirling, keep smiling, and keep those pink tutus close! 😘
