Hello my darling tutu-wearing lovelies!
It's Monday again, and you know what that means... It's time for another fabulously fabulous post from your favourite pink tutu-loving blogger, yours truly, Emma!
I'm writing to you from the most magnificent city in the world - New York City! You guys, I've just spent a magical weekend exploring this metropolis, and let me tell you, it was pure pink tutu bliss. And it's all thanks to my darling dancing!
This week I performed with a stunning ballet company in Brooklyn - it was called "The New York Ballet Experience," and I got to wear this beautiful white tutu with shimmering silver sequins. It was absolute magic! We were even featured in the local newspaper, and let me tell you, it was the best feeling seeing my name and my pink tutu printed on the front page.
Now, after the most delicious English breakfast in the world (you guys just have to come here and try it, it's like a revelation!) at my favourite cafe on 7th Street, it's time for my first New York adventure! I decided to explore the famous "Times Square" and let me tell you, the moment you step off the metro and into Times Square, it's just… Wow! You’ve just got to see it for yourselves, there are these giant screens and bright lights everywhere, it’s absolutely buzzing! I have to admit I had a few little squeals and a lot of excited selfies - sorry not sorry!
Being in this city, surrounded by all of these stunning fashion stores and amazing Broadway performances, is pure bliss. I spent hours browsing at Bloomingdales, even found the most divine, sparkling pink tutu that I had to bring home.
My love of fashion is absolutely thriving in New York City, the street style is everything I have ever dreamed of! My pink tutu and I made an appearance on 5th Avenue, which is lined with designer boutiques, with its amazing street fashion show, and you wouldn't believe it - my pink tutu received so much love! I got compliments from all the glamorous ladies with their designer bags and amazing outfits - and you just have to know, all I wore was a pink tutu! It felt magical to be part of this New York city energy.
I can't leave New York without seeing a Broadway show! This time, I treated myself to a ticket to see the most wonderful production of The Nutcracker! It was pure magic, full of beautifully crafted sets, talented dancers, and gorgeous costumes. Oh, and of course, I even spotted some other ladies wearing pink tutus! (I might have done a little dance in the street after). It was such a brilliant performance, it’s got me wanting to learn some new moves already!
After a fabulously indulgent afternoon at a delightful cafe filled with cupcakes and macarons (I know, so much sugar! ), I joined a lovely ballet class on 34th Street. Now, you're not supposed to wear your tutu to class, but I couldn't help it - the instructors told me it was so adorable, that I just couldn’t help but spread a little pink tutu joy!
It’s just magical, dancing here. It’s so different to what I’m used to in my Derbyshire ballet classes! In Derbyshire, everything is quiet and peaceful. It's lovely to be in New York though, and to really feel that city energy flowing! It feels like the most amazing adventure to have the time to dance, then step out in my pink tutu and enjoy the amazing energy that fills New York City.
I can't believe my time here is nearly over, but there are still a few things I want to tick off my "to-do" list! Tomorrow, I'm planning on taking a trip to the amazing museums, maybe visiting The Met, maybe The American Museum of Natural History - so many possibilities! You’ve just got to visit if you get the chance.
Before I sign off, my darlings, let's not forget the most important part: sharing the love of pink tutus! I'm wearing my pink tutu proudly across New York City and spreading my message of confidence, empowerment, and just pure joy with every twirl.
