#PinkTutuBlogNYC Monday 2016-08-01 she danced in New York City

Hey loves! It's Monday, and you know what that means… drum roll… a brand new Pink Tutu Blog NYC post! This week I'm absolutely buzzing after a whirlwind of a weekend in the Big Apple! Honestly, you guys, New York City just blows me away every single time I visit. It's like the energy is electric! ✨

Now, you know I'm a girly-girl at heart. So naturally, my weekend started with a trip to the most divine little boutique in Greenwich Village. I mean, they had a pink tutu collection that could make even the Queen blush! 😍 I couldn't resist snagging this darling pastel pink tulle skirt with a delicate floral embroidery - so dreamy, darling!

Speaking of dreams, on Saturday night I was fortunate enough to get tickets to a performance of "Giselle" at the Metropolitan Opera House. Talk about an unforgettable experience! The sheer artistry of those dancers… oh, my! It was a total feast for the eyes, with absolutely exquisite costumes. I can't even begin to describe the grace and passion pouring from the stage. My own ballet shoes were itching to get back in action!

The thing I love about New York is that it just pulls you in. I mean, how can you resist those vibrant colours, the dazzling lights, the hum of activity… oh, and the delicious street food! 🍔 Of course, I couldn't forget to document my adventure on Instagram. I took about a thousand pictures, honestly. blushing There’s something so exciting about capturing that New York City vibe in every frame.

Speaking of Instagram, my lovely followers on #PinkTutuGram went wild when I posted a shot of me posing in a bright pink tutu with a backdrop of the Empire State Building. I call it my "tutu in the city" moment, and it really sums up the fun of my trip! 💅

I also have to tell you about my fab day trip to Coney Island. The roller coasters… the classic amusement park rides… the salt-air breeze… honestly, I felt like a child again! 😄 Who says you have to grow up? It's all about keeping that playful spirit alive.

Of course, no visit to New York is complete without a little dose of theatre. So, naturally, on Sunday night I snagged tickets to a Broadway production. Let's just say that I'm still recovering from all the incredible music and dance moves. I mean, I'm even more motivated to head to the ballet barre this week!

And, of course, it's no surprise that I went shopping on this trip. You know how much I love to find the most unique, whimsical pieces! This time, I snagged a sparkly sequined handbag that’s going to make a major statement. I even managed to score some adorable little ballet flats that would be perfect for twirling around New York's chic streets! ✨

Of course, my trip wouldn’t be complete without a touch of culture. I had the chance to visit the Frick Collection – such a beautiful and elegant gallery! Their collection of European paintings and sculptures was absolutely mesmerising, and it’s really inspiring to see how beauty transcends time. 💖

I spent most of my days exploring on foot and making the most of New York's excellent public transportation system. Now, I'll admit, the metro can get a bit crowded at peak times, but it’s so fun to zip around, take in the sights, and feel the energy of this vibrant city! It reminds me of those classic ballet scenes where a bunch of ballerinas are on pointe in a crowded and chaotic space! 🩰

You know, this weekend really drove home something I've always believed: life's about taking chances, going for it, and not letting your dreams be dreams! If you want to wear a pink tutu on a day out in the city, do it! Embrace the pink! Embrace the tutu! Embrace your inner sparkle! 💫

Right, I better get back to unpacking and getting ready for this week. Who knows what adventures are in store? But one thing’s for sure, I’m ready for them in a pink tutu!
