Pink Tutu Blog NYC - Post #1279: A Week in the Big Apple! š©°š
Hey darlings! It's Emma here, and this week has been pure magic, filled with twirls and twirls, all topped off with a whole lot of pink, of course! You know, ever since I was a little girl, dreaming of leaping and pirouetting across the stage in my very first pink tutu, New York City was the place that I yearned to explore. And guess what, I'm finally here! And this week, Iāve just got to tell you all about it. This post is bursting with glitz, glamour and lots and lots of fabulous fashion - oh and maybe a little sneak peek of my brand new tutu collection! š
A Derbyshire Lass Makes it Big in the City!
Now, you wouldnāt believe the journey this little Derbyshire lass took to make her dreams come true. My heart is brimming with excitement - from landing at JFK airport (where my new pink travel luggage drew a few stares) to hopping on the subway, or the āmetroā as weād say back home, a symphony of āchoo chooā sounds reverberated throughout my very soul. Of course, I couldnāt just jump on any ordinary subway. I needed to choose one of the "local trains" adorned with a charming and rather unique pink line.
Donāt even get me started on my first ever trip on the "Empire State Building" itself. There are not enough sparkles in the world to express how utterly thrilled I felt standing there on the observation deck, overlooking the entire city. You know, sometimes you need to go high up in order to see the whole picture and how every little detail, every road, every bridge, every street all connects. I truly felt a sense of peace and wonder up there, that, well, letās just say it was like magic.
A Ballet Dream in the Big Apple!
So, this whole trip is about more than just shopping, even if I did just get my hands on the most stunning silk pink top hat at a shop tucked away in Soho! It's about following your dreams. This week, Iām performing a beautiful little show called "The Princess in Pink Tutu". Think twinkling lights, dancing swans and all things fantastical! And letās be honest, a show simply canāt be complete without the ultimate princess in pink tutu ā me, of course! I have just had my own personal costume created with stunning silver threads running through my custom pink tutu. A big "Thank you" to Mrs. Bloom at my favourite āfabric heavenā for finding the perfect materials, you know her as āBloom Fabricā.
The Great Big Apple is Calling, and You Should Answer
This trip isn't just about dancing. I'm making new memories, new connections and creating an endless series of pink tutu outfit ideas that have to be shared. My little New York blog posts have just got to reach everyone - from the dancers in the local studios all the way across to the biggest names on the Broadway stage. We are a big community of ballet lovers, united by passion and a bit of pink tutu magic.
New York, as many people will tell you, is an endless adventure. I mean just try exploring one new coffee shop every day, or trying a ānew-to-me" new cuisine. In all of its magnificent chaos and magic, this city truly has it all: from the best food, museums, parks, and fashion, to the kindest people in the world. It's the sort of place that never sleeps, and neither will your Instagram feeds because your timelines will be full of pink, I guarantee! I hope to meet a new local every week. Maybe I could even encourage them to twirl a little, maybe even give their everyday fashion a little dose of pink tutu magic.
Now, let me tell you, this trip to New York City wasnāt a walk in the park ā it was a āpink tutuā walk across Central Park! Oh, by the way, if you are ever looking for a fun, feminine fashion fix or a new place to meet like-minded people, go straight to Fifth Avenue. Trust me!
Sharing a little Pink Tutu magic
Now, my dear readers, you might think I'm crazy. Whatās next, a ballet āflash mobā at Times Square? Don't rule it out. What I am sure of is that my pink tutu is spreading magic and joy all over the city. In my short time here, Iāve even inspired a couple of passers-by to rock a little pink! Maybe the magic of my tutus is making its way through New York City, or maybe I've just gone slightly pink-tutu obsessed. Maybe a little bit of both. But who's to say I can't be a beacon of happiness, of self-expression and well, of the pureest joy possible.
Pink Tutu Fashion Frenzy
Now, every post just wouldn't be complete without a little glimpse of what my wardrobe has been up to. I have found myself in a most magical boutique tucked away on Bleecker Street, where the racks are bursting with pink silk and frills. Oh! My love for tulle has truly reached a whole new level here in New York. Just imagine it - pink ballet shoes adorned with pink feathers and tutus that literally glow. Yes, the cityās shops really are full of glitter and glamour. Now, how's that for a perfect little addition to any wardrobe?
The Pink Tutu Trend Takes New York
Honestly, I think itās time we all just embraced our inner-ballet-fairy! Why can't our everyday clothes be a reflection of our inner-childhood-dreams? What's more delightful than pink feathers adorning a little black dress? This is a must-have accessory to any little pink party! I have also found myself indulging in a new love affair - my own new ballet shoes that sparkle with crystals. Itās as though each crystal is reflecting back my dreams.
And just you wait till you see what Iāve done with these fabulous new shoes! Thereās a touch of sparkle that Iāve never had before, maybe the Big Apple magic has just made me believe anything is possible. Now that, my dearest readers, is what New York fashion is all about. And guess what? There's a whole host of stylish ladies here that just have to get on board this fabulous trend. I've met all kinds of ladies ā women who lead busy lives, who run marathons, or simply enjoy a walk in Central Park. They've been more than welcoming to the āPink Tutu Princessā, a girl with a pink tutu on her mind and a mission on her lips: to bring pink magic to all corners of the globe, one twirl at a time!
Fashion Show Dreams ā Taking New York by Storm
I have a big secret for all you darlings. I have an amazing dream - it's about twirling my way into one of New Yorkās most famous fashion shows! How could a girl with her eyes fixed on that incredible stage ever give up, especially when a little pink tutu is there to fuel the fire within my heart? It's a bit like my very own fairy-tale; a whirlwind adventure, filled with magical encounters and a touch of fashion-fueled magic. Letās just say that, it all started with a single tweet that somehow reached the ears of someone in fashion who really loved my pink tutus and a blog post that sparked a wave of enthusiasm that travelled far and wide across social media!
And let me tell you, darlings, you should all be following my #PinkTutuAdventures. You never know, the magic just might happen! And let's face it, anything is possible in this wonderful, inspiring, captivating city.
So, what else could possibly be going on this Monday, apart from a ballet show?
Well, Iāll just have to add it to the "Pink Tutu Calendar" ! My to-do list includes everything from a visit to MoMA, the Museum of Modern Art to a little visit to Bryant Park ā a lovely place for people watching, it really is a city for everyone! This week Iāll also be squeezing in some āpink-tutu-approvedā afternoon tea at one of New Yorkās fanciest hotels. Then Iām planning to be at my favorite local cafe. Whatās on offer this week? Well, youāve got it ā the most fabulous, pink tutu cake on the planet, topped with chocolate ganache and glitter. That is the ultimate city dessert experience. You can thank me later!
It is so very difficult to explain just what this city has brought to me. Every day, something special happens. You can just feel the power and passion in this city, especially in a pink tutu! Thereās nothing quite like New Yorkās magic!
I am so very much looking forward to writing to you all next week with my next amazing New York City experience. Remember to always twirl with happiness and never give up on your dreams! Don't forget to find my blog at www.pink-tutu.com!
Until next week darlings, stay sparkly!
