Good morning lovelies! I’m back with another exciting adventure from the Big Apple. It’s Monday, which means it's time to twirl into a fresh week and a brand new #PinkTutuBlogNYC! This week has been all about discovering new corners of New York City and embracing the vibrant energy of this incredible place.

As you all know, my mission is to bring a little bit of tutu magic to the world and inspire you to embrace the joy of dance. This week, I took on a personal challenge: wearing my favourite pink tutu EVERYWHERE! And what better place to do it than New York City, where every street is a stage!

I must confess, getting on the metro in my pink tutu took a bit more courage than usual. Thankfully, New Yorkers have this amazing knack of just being…well, New Yorkers! They’re accustomed to seeing anything and everything on the subway, and for the most part, I felt an unspoken appreciation for the colour and joy my tutu brought to their day.

Let’s dive in and share some highlights of this delightful, twirly journey.

This week, I went shopping on Broadway, and it was divine! I’m not going to lie, it’s always tempting to lose yourself in the dazzling lights of the theatres and the fabulous outfits on display in the shop windows. This week, I even picked up the most darling little pink fascinator that has been sitting on my wish list for months!

The Broadway experience is so full of life and glamour, you can't help but feel like you're stepping onto a stage yourself. There's an energy about this part of New York that just pulls you in! The best part of visiting the theatre district is getting to take in a Broadway show! This time around, I went to see “Hadestown”, and oh, it was something special! The performance blew my mind! It had it all, amazing singing, breathtaking choreography and an overall brilliant story. You’d be silly not to grab a ticket!

And, of course, what's a trip to New York City without some iconic photo ops? From Times Square to the Statue of Liberty (don’t forget the iconic photo of me holding up my tutu by Lady Liberty!), I captured some absolutely precious moments in this beautiful city. The best part of it all is being able to share my love for ballet with other like-minded souls. New York City just seems to resonate with that!

There's something really special about the dance scene in New York. It’s exhilarating and dynamic, and there are opportunities to enjoy the magic of ballet all over the city!

This week, I took a ballet class at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and learned some incredible choreography. They have some phenomenal teachers! The experience of dancing in New York, surrounded by passionate and talented dancers, just filled me with joy. There's a reason this city is known for its dance excellence, and being a part of that world for a little while really inspired me.

The other ballet highlight of this week was catching a performance by the New York City Ballet at Lincoln Center! It was amazing. It felt as though I was being transported to another world entirely, and the incredible costumes and stories really took me to another place!

You know I love exploring new cafes and hidden gems! This week, I stumbled upon a delightful little tearoom nestled on a quiet side street in Greenwich Village, perfect for a moment of reflection between ballet and Broadway! They had the most delicious scones and cream – I even managed to sneak a bite while wearing my pink tutu – because every moment in the Big Apple deserves a little magic.

My time in New York is always a constant source of inspiration and I absolutely love to use it to reflect on what matters most to me! Every street corner has something unique to offer! And New Yorkers really know how to dress with flair! There's this incredible mix of styles and subcultures – you can't help but get inspired! Every time I explore a new part of this incredible city, I find something new to add to my “Pink Tutu Inspiration” notebook.

• Packing: Comfort is King Remember those comfortable walking shoes and stylish jackets - because New York is all about walking and exploring!
• Subway Survival: Embrace the Rush Hour Don't be afraid to dive into the subway during rush hour - it’s an experience in itself, and if you time it right, you can squeeze in an hour-long ballet class right in the middle of the week!
• Shop ’til You Drop: From the chic boutiques of SoHo to the designer stores of Fifth Avenue, New York City is a shopper’s paradise! Don’t be afraid to venture beyond your comfort zone!

Ballet & Performance:

• Tickets: Don’t be Afraid of the TKTS Booth! Don’t be afraid of TKTS booth for discounted theatre tickets. This is an iconic New York City experience.
• Ballet Exploration: You can find so many styles of ballet all across the city! Take a class, see a show, and don’t be afraid to break out of your comfort zone!
• Local Theatres: It’s always worth seeing what's on at smaller theatres outside of Broadway, too. You'll be amazed at the amazing talent you can find in hidden gems around the city.
