"A whirl of sequins and a dance across the city - New York City: My pink tutu journey continues!"
Hello, darlings! It's Monday morning in New York City and I'm buzzing with excitement - just like a pink tutu twirling in the sunshine! Another week of whirlwind adventures has passed in this incredible city. I've danced my way across the Big Apple, met some fantastic people, and discovered the very best pinkest tutu-worthy experiences New York City has to offer. So grab your favourite cuppa, a scone, and settle in, as I spill all the glittery gossip.
Let's start where all good fairy tales do... at the beginning! It was an early start as usual. I was up before the sun had even decided whether it fancied a peek over the horizon. However, when I stepped out into the vibrant, bustling, sunshine-filled streets of New York, the tired eyes and aching limbs disappeared instantly. A new day was upon me!
Now, one of my favourite things about this city is the fabulous subway system - the best way to explore, a pink tutu wouldn't be out of place at all! I always think it's hilarious to see the looks people give me as I take the subway, they can't resist a twinkle in their eyes when a pink tutu whizzes past! They love to watch me float up the escalator and onwards towards the platform, sometimes the tutu even inspires people to smile and give a little wave, I guess everyone loves a little magic, right?!
Before getting lost in the shopping frenzy, my day kicked off at the New York City Ballet. They are a simply phenomenal bunch and I just had to catch a show on this magical Monday. The dancers, the music, the drama! It was utterly exhilarating - the energy and passion, the skill and graceā¦ I was transported to a world of imagination and beauty, and the whole thing left me positively giddy with delight! I wish I could have been out there with them - that tutu was aching to join in!
Afterwards, the city beckoned me to the dazzling stores of Fifth Avenue. Now, you just know that this girly-girl was in her element! All those fabulous outfits, shoes and handbags... oh, the possibilities! Let me tell you, those pink tutus and sequin dresses will be flying out of my suitcase, as I must have added a few more shimmering additions to my wardrobe - who can resist those iconic New York stores, right?
But let's not forget, I don't just dance in tutus, I actually dance ballet! I was excited to try out a local dance studio in Chelsea, "Studio One". A fantastic and very welcoming space with the best teachers! A session of classic ballet was exactly what I needed after the show. This little corner of New York felt like my happy place. After all, dancing keeps those pink tutu spins and turns up to speed.
As I was tumbling down Fifth Avenue after a long but incredibly happy day, I paused, soaking up the incredible skyline of the city. All these towering buildings reaching up towards the stars - they represent possibility. I looked at the hustle and bustle, the colourful characters that create this melting pot of culture and energy - every single one of those people was just waiting to unfold their own incredible stories. What a phenomenal city - just like the incredible ballerina outfit I was sporting today!

- The Empire State Building will light up the skyline of New York City tonight.
- In the heart of Times Square, there are lots of free, family-friendly shows happening today, featuring talented singers, dancers, comedians, and other performers - always great for an afternoon out in New York,
- *Summer in the City! * Grab an ice cream and head out to one of New York City's numerous street festivals. Today is all about music and summer vibes!
