Hello, my darling dears! Emma here, and it’s Monday again, which means it's time for a new blog post! As usual, I'm coming to you live from New York City, the most magical place on Earth! This week, my adventures have been utterly, absolutely spectacular, and I can't wait to tell you all about them!

As you know, I'm absolutely smitten with this city. It's just buzzing with so much energy and creativity, and it’s impossible not to feel inspired when you're surrounded by all this beauty and glamour. Every street corner, every shop window, even the people themselves, they just ooze fashion and excitement! It’s no wonder they call it the “city that never sleeps,” and you can bet I’m ready to dance along!

This week has been particularly fabulous, and here's why…

This weekend, I treated myself to a sensational evening at the New York City Ballet! The sheer brilliance of these dancers simply left me speechless. I sat mesmerised, awestruck, as these graceful ballerinas spun and leaped across the stage. They moved like liquid silk, each step a perfect work of art! Oh, it was just pure, unadulterated joy! And yes, I did make sure to wear my favourite pink tutu for the occasion - how could I not, when surrounded by so much elegance and flair? I truly felt right at home, immersed in a world where dancing is more than just an art form, it’s a passion, a way of life.

Of course, no trip to New York is complete without a little retail therapy. Oh, the shopping! The clothes, the shoes, the accessories! It's enough to make even the most jaded fashionista giddy! My trip to Bloomingdale’s was truly exhilarating, like a giant pink paradise where dreams come true! I snagged some fabulous pink goodies - a ruffled blouse, a statement necklace and the most adorable little beret to complete my ballerina style. Can’t wait to share those finds with you in a future post. You can bet my pink wardrobe has been expanded…

One thing that absolutely astounds me about New York is its underground transportation system. The Metro is a whole world unto itself. From its gritty, graffiti-covered walls to its bustling crowds, it's a sensory overload, an energetic dance of life playing out right before your eyes. I can spend hours watching people just rushing around, each one with their own story to tell, their own destinations to reach.

This week, my journey from Brooklyn to Manhattan was particularly memorable. I even got to witness a impromptu street dance performance on one of the platforms - a breakdancing crew battling it out with impressive flips and spins, accompanied by a thumping hip hop beat. It was exhilarating and reminded me that, even in the most unexpected places, magic can unfold!

One of my favourite things to do in New York is to catch a show on Broadway! I adore the glitz, the glamour, the pure escapism that comes with stepping into those magnificent theaters. Last night, I enjoyed a spellbinding performance of "Moulin Rouge!" The music, the dancing, the costumes - simply unforgettable. My heart was pounding with the infectious energy, I could practically smell the Parisian air, it was that captivating! It was such a visual and emotional treat.

To keep up with my busy schedule and dance rehearsals, I need all the energy I can get. And New York, in its vast diversity, never disappoints when it comes to food.

One of my favourite haunts this week has been this amazing vegan diner. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, just what I needed after a long day, and the food? Heavenly! I opted for a delightful, beetroot and walnut salad, followed by their mouth-watering seitan steak. Honestly, you wouldn’t know it wasn’t real meat, it was absolutely divine. It felt good to treat myself to a delicious meal that also cared for the planet!

For me, New York is an endless source of inspiration. From the majestic skyscrapers to the lively street art, from the breathtaking fashion to the raw talent on display on every corner - the city simply pulsates with life, and I can't wait to share it with all of you.

You’re likely thinking, what does a Derbyshire lass know about all this jazz? The truth is, I have a pretty crazy, pink-tinted spirit that refuses to be boxed in, no matter where I come from. And it's that spirit that’s led me here to this extraordinary city, chasing my dreams and spreading the love for pink tutus one twirl at a time.
