This week I’m bringing you all the glorious pink-tastic vibes straight from the heart of New York City - a city that, just like a pink tutu, is bold, vibrant, and undeniably glamorous.
This weekend was a whirl of excitement! From dancing under the shimmering lights of the New York State Theatre to a glamorous evening out, my week has been a fabulous celebration of all things pink and twirly.
Dancing on Broadway: The Music Man!
You know how much I adore a good ballet, but let’s face it, there's just something so wonderfully thrilling about a Broadway show. Last night I went to see The Music Man at the Winter Garden Theatre and it was simply divine!
The show's iconic, toe-tapping tunes were absolutely contagious! I swear, even the audience was doing a little tap dance in their seats! I'm not going to lie, I was swept up in the magic of the moment and found myself bobbing along to the music, even while sporting my sparkly pink tutu, because darling, one can never be too flamboyant, can one?
Oh, and the costumes? Talk about dazzling! From the gorgeous, vibrant hues to the wonderfully dramatic designs, they were truly captivating. And there were just so many feathers, which as you know, are basically my weakness! ?
City That Never Sleeps: A Walk in the Park
Of course, a trip to the Big Apple wouldn't be complete without a stroll through Central Park! Honestly, you could wander its charming pathways for days, and each time you'd discover a new hidden gem. This weekend, I found myself in the Rose Garden, soaking up the aroma of hundreds of fragrant blossoms. It was an absolute delight for the senses and the perfect place to enjoy a quiet moment away from the bustling streets.
The sunshine had my skin sparkling (a touch of shimmering pink body glitter, if you ask!), and it really reminded me how much I love experiencing nature in all its beauty, even in the heart of a concrete jungle! It's all about finding those pockets of serenity in our busy lives, and Central Park was exactly that for me this weekend.
A Shopping Spree:
You know me - I couldn’t resist popping into some of New York City’s most iconic department stores! And of course, the hunt for pink tutus was top of the agenda. I’m telling you, ladies, the selection is out of this world! It was like a ballet-inspired candyland, with enough tulle, sequins, and frills to satisfy any princess-at-heart.
My shopping bags are overflowing with gorgeous new pieces – I managed to snag a shimmering blush pink sequined tutu perfect for my upcoming ballet performances, and a divine satin evening gown with a dazzling floral print in, you guessed it, pink, which will be perfect for my next glamorous night out.
Subway Style
Speaking of glamorous, the New York subway always offers a fabulous runway of unique fashion, don’t you think? I especially love watching people navigate the city in their fabulous statement outfits, there’s so much style inspiration on the platforms! For my journey today, I’ve opted for a playful look - my signature pink tutu, of course, a breezy white blouse, and a chic black beret. The pop of pink is an instant eye-catcher, especially on a crowded subway.
It really is about finding that perfect blend of fun, flair, and sophistication in any setting!
