Paris, Mon Amour! (Post #20)

Bonjour, my darling darlings! Emma here, ready to share the vibrant, sparkling magic of Paris with you! It's Saturday, the 13th of May, and the Parisian air is buzzing with excitement as I'm writing this - my 20th post on www.pink-tutu.com! Let me tell you, I am living my absolute best life here. I feel like I could float on a cloud, which is perfect, because I have my pinkest tutu on today. (Naturally!)

This week, I hopped on the EuroStar - that dreamy train that takes you to Paris in just a flash - and was met with the most wonderful welcome. Imagine my joy when I stepped out of Gare du Nord and into the Parisian sunshine! It was pure bliss.

Of course, this trip wouldn't be complete without a ballet show. I mean, a ballerina can't go to Paris without seeing some of the most iconic dance in the world! This week, it was the magnificent Bolshoi Ballet at the Opéra Garnier, dancing "La Bayadère". Talk about a truly dazzling performance! Every graceful movement, every expressive gesture, was captivating. I found myself lost in the swirling skirts and breathtaking costumes – absolutely mesmerising! And the music! Oh, the music! I nearly floated out of my seat in sheer awe.

Afterward, I sashayed over to one of the many wonderful antique shops in the Marais district. I was looking for a vintage tutu to add to my collection. You can never have too many tutus! And, what do you know? I stumbled across a delightful pink and pearl number from the 1920s! Just the perfect vintage find to compliment my modern day pink tulle wardrobe!

One of my favorite things about Paris is the fashion scene. I could spend hours in the beautiful boutiques along Avenue Montaigne, just admiring the intricate creations and vibrant colours. And while I can't quite justify buying every designer dress I see (my tutu fund is finite, after all!), I have a knack for finding charming little independent shops brimming with Parisian chic. I can't wait to show you my latest vintage find!

This week was particularly special because it also happened to be the opening of a fabulous new ballet studio! "The Ballerina's Garden", they call it. Can you even imagine? A secret haven for ballerinas to practice, study, and even create. It's full of flowers and fairy lights, and of course, they have a special pink room just for tutus! The owner told me about her vision for the space – she wanted to create a safe, inspiring environment for budding ballerinas, like a secret haven tucked away in the heart of Paris. It's all my dreams come true, really!

Later today, I'll be exploring the lovely streets of the Latin Quarter, a favourite spot of mine. I have a little French lesson booked, you see! You might think it's a bit out of character for a ballerina to learn a new language. But I believe that every challenge is an opportunity for growth! Plus, what better way to experience this enchanting city than speaking the local language? Afterward, I'm planning to see a charming performance of ballet on the street - how delightful, I say! And I shall indulge in the most decadent macarons - because when in Paris...

That's all for this week, my dear friends! Be sure to visit www.pink-tutu.com next Saturday for more Paris adventures. And don't forget to wear pink! I can't wait to see your colourful outfits and share more Parisian magic with you.

Until then, sending you love from the heart of Paris,

Emma
