#PinkTutuBlogParis: Bonjour from the City of Lights! 🗼🌸 (Post #21)

Saturday, 20th May 2000

Well, darlings, I've done it! After months of saving my pennies (and performing my heart out at every single ballet recital!) I finally made it to Paris! I absolutely can't believe I'm actually here, sitting in a quaint little café on the Rue de Rivoli, sipping on a frothy cappuccino and watching the world go by.

The Eurostar was divine. My tutu was a bit of a squeeze, but that's part of the fun, isn't it? I was so mesmerised by the views whizzing by - rolling hills and quaint little villages whizzing by, that I felt like a little ballerina on point, myself!

Arriving in Gare du Nord was quite something. I was instantly struck by the Parisian hustle and bustle, a charming blend of stylish Parisian ladies with their little pooches and gentlemen sporting dapper berets and smoking pipes (so old school, darling!). I had to stop and admire the sheer beauty of the train station – those impressive vaulted ceilings! It really makes one feel quite special.

Of course, I didn't arrive in Paris without a splash of colour. My new blush pink luggage bag was attracting so much attention, with my initial, ‘E', elegantly printed in black across the side, it looked perfectly Parisian. You just can’t beat the confidence boost of a fabulous pink accessory, darlings! I’m definitely going to be incorporating more pink into my Parisian adventures – imagine me twirling around the Arc de Triomphe in my pale pink ballerina tutu?! Ooh la la!

The journey to my charming little apartment, tucked away in a quiet street just a short hop from the Eiffel Tower (of course!), felt like a scene out of a romantic comedy. I even caught a glimpse of a horse-drawn carriage dashing through the cobbled streets. Such a gorgeous sight! My heart literally skipped a beat. Paris truly is a dream come true!

Today, darling, I’m exploring the City of Lights in a more leisurely way, walking down beautiful avenues, indulging in buttery croissants and decadent chocolate pastries – oh, I’m so full! My favourite so far was a chocolate and hazelnut croissant at a tiny, tucked away café. Pure heaven!

Later tonight, I’m planning on seeing a stunning ballet performance at the Palais Garnier – I have heard wonderful things about the Paris Opera Ballet, and this should be a delightful experience. Imagine twirling on a Parisian stage - swoon!

I can already feel the magic of Paris pulsating through the air, and I know my pink tutu and I are going to make some magical memories. I’m on a mission to find the best Parisian tutu shop to add to my ever-growing collection – I’ve already spotted one on the Rue de Rivoli that is practically screaming ‘Emma, I’m yours!’

So darling, keep your eyes peeled for my next Paris blog post next Saturday, and in the meantime, I want you to find your perfect pink tutu. After all, we are all ballerinas at heart, right? 😉

Bisous from the City of Love,

Emma xoxo

#PinkTutuBlogParis: The Grandiose Palais Garnier and Shopping! 🗼🛍️ (Post #22)

Saturday, 27th May 2000

Oh, Paris, you have already stolen a piece of my heart!

Today was the day for a bit of culture, and the grandeur of the Palais Garnier, home to the Opéra de Paris, is almost impossible to describe! My heart skipped a beat as I walked into that magnificent building, complete with towering columns and opulent interiors. The opulence! The majesty! Just everything was so beautifully refined.

Tonight’s performance of Swan Lake was incredible. The dancers were simply exquisite - their grace and skill were breathtaking. The story itself felt incredibly dramatic, and there were moments of such incredible tension and passion that it almost brought a tear to my eye! I found myself totally captivated and completely immersed in the performance – I don’t think I stopped smiling the entire evening.

Of course, my love of ballet wouldn’t be complete without a little post-performance treat. As we emerged from the theatre, we happened upon a little champagne bar with twinkling lights and tables adorned with red roses. We raised our glasses, savouring the celebratory atmosphere, as I sipped the most exquisite glass of champagne I've ever tasted, its bubbles tickling my nose with each delicate sip. It was truly an unforgettable experience – it felt so glamorous and oh-so Parisian.

My evening didn’t end there. My journey back to my quaint little apartment felt almost fairytale-esque. It was quite late, and the city had calmed down – except for the gentle street music serenading the moon, echoing down the beautiful old stone streets, creating a sound so ethereal. There wasn’t another soul in sight. The moon was shimmering in the sky, illuminating the graceful arc of the Eiffel Tower in all its grandeur - it felt magical. I wish I could share it with you, darlings. I honestly think my Parisian journey is just starting!

Tomorrow, we’re visiting a truly unique boutique I discovered nestled among the historic buildings near the Notre Dame Cathedral. It’s filled with vintage garments and treasures from all over the world. I think it might be a perfect spot to discover some incredible statement pieces to bring my pink tutu outfits to another level. Imagine the vintage looks! My darling followers, stay tuned for my next Paris post - there will be tutus, vintage dresses, and even a visit to a beautiful little shop filled with French perfumes – what more could you ask for?!

Bisous,

Emma xoxo

#PinkTutuBlogParis: Parisian Delights and Pink Treasures! 🗼🎀 (Post #23)

Saturday, 3rd June 2000

Well, darlings, today was all about embracing the Parisian chic – and who could ask for anything more?! The moment I stepped outside my apartment this morning, I felt like I had stepped right onto the pages of a glossy fashion magazine.

You won't believe what I found today! This fantastic boutique hidden on a little side street, “Le Palais de la Couture," with its whimsical, vintage dresses, adorned with delicate lace, and a treasure trove of vintage fabrics! There was even a collection of beautiful tutus! I could spend a lifetime browsing through this extraordinary place. And you know what, darling? I bought something!

My eyes landed on the most gorgeous pink dress, almost a blush pink colour, almost a whisper of pink. It has beautiful details – lace and sequins with delicate tulle embroidery, giving it a feminine air with a touch of drama. Just perfect, wouldn’t you agree? It’s so versatile! I can imagine it dancing across a Parisian rooftop, and paired with a tulle tutu. Just perfect for creating Parisian magic.

Later on, I treated myself to some more Parisian pleasures – delicate macarons in all sorts of pink hues, of course, a delectable Parisian cake adorned with sparkling sugared rose petals and even a beautiful bouquet of pink roses to cheer me up!

Tonight was spent indulging in the world of Parisian fashion, and a truly fantastic ballet performance. Oh my goodness! The energy was palpable, and I was so inspired by the creativity and talent on display – this ballet company is world-renowned.

Today’s journey really allowed me to truly appreciate the spirit of Parisian fashion, embracing beauty in the small details. It is everywhere. In the delicate patterns on the cobbled streets, the artful bouquets overflowing with colour and, most importantly, in the delightful fashion treasures one finds hidden amongst the city’s backstreets.

You see, darling, the magic of Paris isn’t just about the grand sights and iconic landmarks, it’s also about embracing the small moments of joy, appreciating beauty in every corner, and, of course, embracing our inner ballerina spirit! I'll keep you updated on my adventures – including the incredible new tutu shop I found! You’re going to love it, darling, you’re just going to love it. Oh, and I'll also share more details of the new dress that has stolen my heart.

Until next week, darling.

Bisous,

Emma xoxo
