Paris, Je T'aime! - #PinkTutuBlogParis #44

Bonjour, darlings! It’s Emma, your favourite pink tutu-clad travel blogger, and I’m back from the City of Lights with another Parisian adventure to share! I’m positively brimming with excitement, so grab a cuppa and get ready for a delightful trip down memory lane (or should I say, boulevard lane?).

This past Saturday, 28th October 2000, I took the Eurostar to Paris – yes, you read that right! No planes for this ballerina, just a comfortable journey through the Channel Tunnel on a sleek, modern train. I absolutely love the thrill of a train ride, the rhythmic clickety-clack of the wheels, and the anticipation building as you approach a new city.

My tutu twirled with glee as we approached the Gare du Nord, that grand old station with its sweeping arches and historical whispers. I’d spent the whole journey daydreaming about my Parisian escapade – picture-perfect cobblestone streets, breathtaking museums, the smell of freshly baked pastries, and of course, fabulous fashion!

A Pink Tutu Dream in the City of Love

As soon as I arrived, I couldn’t resist slipping into my favourite pink tutu – it seemed the perfect way to embody the spirit of Paris. This time, I opted for a blush-pink tulle with delicate lace trimmings. With a matching silk ribbon tied in a graceful bow at the back, I felt positively divine, ready to twirl through the streets like a Parisian ballerina.

First Stop: The Palais Garnier Opera House

No trip to Paris is complete without a visit to the legendary Palais Garnier, home to the prestigious Paris Opera. This architectural marvel, with its opulent gold detailing and breathtaking chandeliers, took my breath away. The stage, massive and magnificent, is simply begging for a tutu-clad dancer, don’t you think?

I spent a delightful hour admiring the stunning Grand Staircase and exploring the ornate foyer, imagining the glamour of its opening night. This was a true Parisian pilgrimage!

Shopping Splendour on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré

Of course, my Parisian escapade would be incomplete without some serious shopping! And where better to indulge in sartorial delights than on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the very heart of Parisian haute couture. The streets were lined with world-renowned boutiques, each one a treasure trove of stylish wonders. I spent a glorious afternoon window-shopping, dreaming of those impossibly chic Parisian looks. I even found a couple of pink dresses that had my name written all over them – just imagine me twirling down the Champs-Élysées in those!

Dinner at the Café de la Paix

To complete my Parisian experience, I couldn’t resist dinner at the historic Café de la Paix, a glamorous brasserie right in the heart of the city. This iconic Parisian spot has been welcoming guests since the 19th century, and its elegance is timeless.

With my pink tutu and my champagne, I felt like a real Parisian! It was truly a wonderful way to end an absolutely fantastic day in the City of Lights.

Paris in My Tutu: A Moment to Remember

My Paris adventure on this beautiful autumn Saturday was truly magical. It’s a city that holds a special place in my heart – the charm of its history, the elegance of its architecture, and the unyielding spirit of its people all resonate with me so deeply.

As the sun began to set over the city, I stood at the top of the Eiffel Tower, bathed in golden light, and I knew that this trip was something I’d treasure forever. It reminded me why I love to travel and how special it is to experience the world in all its beauty. And let’s face it, there's simply no better way to explore a city like Paris than with a pink tutu and a twinkle in your eye!

Remember: Sharing is caring, darlings!
