Pink Tutu Blog Paris - #57 - Ooh La La, Paris!

Bonjour, darlings!

It's your favourite pink-tutu-wearing ballerina, Emma, here, back with another Paris escapade for your weekend enjoyment! As usual, I'm whipping up this post for you fresh from the City of Lights, having just hopped off the EuroStar after another magical weekend. Oh, the adventures!

Paris just pulls me in, like a perfectly executed arabesque, and this trip is no different. This week, my pink tutu's twirling around the most incredible ballet performances, delving into Parisian fashion treasures, and of course, savouring the divine delights of the French capital.

But before I delve into my weekend whirlwind, let's talk about getting here! Oh, the sheer joy of gliding through the countryside on the EuroStar! It's like stepping back in time, all that lush green rolling by, with glimpses of sleepy villages, and just the clickety-clack of the train. It truly is the perfect start to any Parisian adventure.

Now, about this week’s je ne sais quoi...

A Touch of the Divine:
Right, let's talk about the highlight of my weekend – a visit to the legendary Opéra Garnier! Talk about being blown away! I mean, the building itself is like a fairytale palace, with ornate decorations, and swirling staircases – imagine twirling your way down in your most dazzling tutu!

But let's talk about the show! Swan Lake is truly an emotional rollercoaster of beauty and grace, every graceful step by the prima ballerina was like a feather floating on the air. It was captivating. The energy in the theatre, the silence as the curtain fell – just magic!

Street Style Serenade: This time, my fashion wanderings took me to the Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen. My, oh my! The treasures you find in these Parisian markets are just amazing – vintage Chanel? A Dior dress just waiting to be worn with a tulle overlay? Vintage lace shoes with that oh-so-perfect pointe shoe pink? Yes, darling, it was a shopping heaven! My pink tutu practically went into overdrive – who needs ballet class when you have this much beauty on display?

More than Just Ballet: This week, I had the chance to experience Parisian life outside the theatre, beyond my favourite pink tulle! La Seine took centre stage, bathed in the glorious golden hour sun. We drifted along in a quaint little boat, sipping on the best French champagne – pure luxury. I even saw a troupe of street performers, their movements as beautiful as anything I’ve seen on a stage – my heart soared!

Pink Power Now, darlings, this Parisian trip isn't just about shopping and seeing shows, though I love those, it's about reminding myself of that inner pink tutu princess in all of us. Parisian elegance, style and creativity are what fuel that desire – it's about taking a leap of faith and putting yourself out there!

My mission in Paris? Well, it's the same mission as ever – to spread the pink tutu love across the globe! Imagine a world where every woman, man, child, and dog embraced their inner ballerina with a touch of pink tulle. Who’s with me?

Don't forget - keep up with my Paris escapades, check in weekly at www.pink-tutu.com and join me for my next post. Let's dance, darling!

*Bisous, *

Emma

P.S Did you know? Today is also the birthday of that gorgeous dancing genius – Mikhail Baryshnikov. Happy birthday, Mikhail!

This was an extended version. Feel free to adapt or shorten it based on your desired length. The idea was to capture a fun, whimsical tone and showcase Emma's love for Paris, ballet, and pink tutus. ✨
