Pink Tutu Paris - Post 66: Bonjour, Beautiful Paris!
Oh la la, darling! Emma here, straight from the City of Lights! Yes, I've finally made it to Paris, the very heart of fashion and romance! The EuroStar whizzed us over in a flash, a ballet of motion through the Channel Tunnel, leaving the Derbyshire drizzle far behind. I'm so excited to share my Parisian adventures with you, my dears, so buckle up, put on your favourite pink tutu (it is a Saturday, after all!), and let's get lost in the magic of Paris.
Day One - Bonjour, Madame Tutu
Arriving at Gare du Nord, the scent of croissants and fresh bread filled the air, a delightful aroma that promised delicious mornings to come. My charming Parisian Airbnb is perched in a lovely little corner of Montmartre, overlooking a cobbled square. It's like stepping out of a romantic film!
My first order of business: finding a tutu fit for Parisian promenading. Imagine, darling, a frothy pink creation with a delicate tulle ruffle cascading down my legs, just begging for a twirl along the Seine. Oh, the joys of being a ballerina! My feet are itching to tap to the city rhythm!
The day was a blur of delightful discovery - quaint bookshops filled with antique editions, the most delightful macaron stand imaginable, and the most glorious vintage shop overflowing with beautiful gowns! A whimsical pink velvet bolero that made my heart skip a beat instantly joined my travelling wardrobe! I simply couldn't resist its charm!
Ballet Dreams Come True
Tonight, though, was the highlight. The most breathtaking ballet performance at the Palais Garnier! The elegant dancers glided like swans on a silken lake, each movement a delicate stroke of genius. It was everything I ever dreamt of and more. I left the theatre utterly mesmerised, feeling as though I'd just flown amongst the clouds on a dream.
And darling, the sheer volume of pink! From the shimmering lights reflecting on the stage, to the beautiful ladies in their soft pink silk dresses, Paris, you certainly understand my favourite colour!
Shopping Spree in the City of Light
I just knew Paris wouldn't let me down when it came to shopping. Imagine, darling, cobbled streets lined with boutiques, each one overflowing with dazzling treasures, with window displays that scream "Parisian Chic." I've already discovered the most delightful vintage hat shop with hats as vibrant as my spirit! I must confess I bought two... and am already planning on coming back for a third!
From Chic to Charcuterie
You know how much I adore Parisian life: it's a delicious mix of haute couture, delicious pastries and... oh, did I mention charcuterie? A true Parisian experience simply isn't complete without a decadent charcuterie board overflowing with artisan cheeses, salty cured meats and fluffy, crusty baguettes. I've already fallen in love with the flavours of France.
Sunday in the City of Love
Oh darling, how I adore Sundays in Paris! It's all about slow, relaxed strolls, stopping at picturesque cafes for freshly brewed coffee and flaky croissants. The Seine whispers stories of artists and lovers, and the air feels so charged with history.
A Pink Tutu's Parisian Dreams
And now, for some dreams. Perhaps a romantic carriage ride along the Seine with a charming Frenchman, or maybe a delightful afternoon learning the art of macaron making? Oh, the possibilities in Paris are endless!
A Week In the City of Lights

Until then, may your days be filled with pink delights and happy twirls!
Your Emma in Paris
Ps. I found out that 31st March is the Day of the Donkey. I couldnโt resist adding that little fact. Donkeys in pink tutus would certainly be quite a sight! ๐
