Itās your favourite pink-tutu-clad blogger, Emma, and Iām writing to you from the City of Lights, where the streets are filled with charm, the air is alive with the scent of fresh pastries, and the Seine whispers romantic secrets to all who listen. It's a day I wonāt forget ā and I canāt wait to tell you all about it!
You may wonder, how does a Derbyshire girl like myself fund such amazing adventures? Well, itās simple! When I'm not twirling on stage in a beautiful pink tutu, Iām fundraising, using the magic of ballet to make these dreams come true! (Oh, and I just love a good bargain ā you can find a gorgeous tutu if you know where to look!). This week, I'm going for a whimsical theme ā the ballet theme. Expect pictures, inspiration and all things pink and fluffy!
This time, I decided to take the Eurostar ā an incredible experience! Being whizzed through the countryside at high speed, surrounded by so many stylish people ā talk about fashion inspiration! The French have such a fabulous sense of style, even the train carriage seemed to hum with fashion inspiration! As the French landscape whizzed by, I couldn't help but daydream of all the Parisian adventures waiting for me. The thrill of stepping off the Eurostar, inhaling that intoxicating mix of croissant, coffee, and the Paris air - pure magic.
So here I am in the heart of Paris, my Parisian adventures kicking off with a dose ofā¦ you guessed it, ballet! Now, it's not always easy to find an affordable ballet in Paris - after all, the city is known for its extravagant spectacles. But today was a lucky day. A flyer I spotted on my hotel doorstep advertised a delightful, one-off performance called āDanse des Angesā ā a whimsical show celebrating the grace and magic of dance, in the heart of the beautiful historic ThĆ©Ć¢tre de la Ville. You bet your tutus I booked tickets, and I can tell you, I wasn't disappointed.
Dance of the Angels ā A Tutuful Triumph!
Imagine delicate choreography that reminded me of a storybook coming to life, set against a breathtaking backdrop, all illuminated by beautiful, dappled light. It was truly magical! You know Iām a bit of a hopeless romantic, and āDanse des Angesā had me captivated from beginning to end! There was this particular moment, where a solo dancer swirled across the stage, her pink tutu billowing like a cloudā¦ it was beautiful. And then the music... It took me straight to a world of fairies and princesses, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Bonjour Fashionista ā A Pink Paradise!
Paris is like a catwalk, bursting with creativity and unique style. From the chic boutiques on Rue de Rivoli to the vibrant street style of the Marais, it's a city that truly embraces fashion. Iām never without my trusty sketch pad and pen - jotting down the most creative street fashion! What I love about Paris is the unique blend of classic Parisian chic and modern trends, always beautifully intertwined! Itās also a place where I love to experiment with my style. That's where my favourite part of today comes in - exploring Parisian shopping havens, and searching for unique treasures to inspire my latest collection of tutus.
The iconic Galeries Lafayette! It was sheer fashion heaven, and a definite āmust seeā when you're in the City of Lights! Imagine vast, sprawling department stores filled with designer treasures and Parisian chic, a place where I felt a hundred times more inspired, and a little bit giddy with excitement! Oh, and did I mention their spectacular Art Nouveau dome, topped by an intricate mosaic? The very picture of Parisian elegance. Iāll admit, it was like being in a fairytale; every turn brought a beautiful new piece of art or fashion, every counter and window a testament to beauty and craftsmanship. I found a darling vintage pink hat and the cutest pink shoes ā perfect for the ultimate Parisian stroll, or perhaps a grand, waltz down the Champs-ĆlysĆ©es!

There is a reason Paris is called the City of Lights, for it ignites the heart and inspires the soul! Itās an endless adventure of exploring picturesque alleyways, cafes that radiate a warmth like a welcoming hug, and cobbled streets where history whispers its secrets. Today, I discovered the delightful Luxembourg Gardens. An oasis of greenery nestled in the heart of the city, where you can hear the chirping of birds, smell the fresh roses, and bask in the sunlight that paints the park with warmth and beauty. I'd happily lose myself amongst those manicured pathways and enchanting gardens all day, if I didnāt have so many more things to discover in this captivating city.
From enchanting gardens to iconic landmarks, from inspiring street style to breathtaking ballet, today's Parisian escapade was everything a ballet-loving pink tutu enthusiast could dream of.
But Wait! Thereās More!
The real adventure hasnāt ended ā itās only just begun! Thereās a symphony in my heart, a melody that calls to me, the melody of the Eiffel Towerā¦ Oh, the Eiffel Tower!
