Hello, darlings! It's Emma here, fresh off the EuroStar and into the heart of Paris! I simply had to bring you with me on this Parisian escapade, and, of course, it wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Blog adventure without a little pink to celebrate this magical city!
This trip is all thanks to my amazing performances at the Derbyshire Ballet Festival – my tutu twirling really paid off! It's time to ditch the Derbyshire Dales and swap them for the enchanting cobblestone streets of Paris! I've already spotted the most adorable boutique – all frills, bows, and a little je ne sais quoi. And wouldn't you know it, I had to snag the perfect Parisian pink tutu! It's all the rage here, apparently, with Parisian ladies sporting them everywhere - chic cafes, bouquinistes on the Seine, even at the Louvre! *Quel magnifique! *
As for today, 2nd of June, it's positively scorching in the City of Lights! The sun is a vibrant shade of lemon yellow, mirroring the cheery Parisian energy all around me. My fellow tutu enthusiasts might agree that this weather calls for some breezy strolling!
The Ballet of Paris: First stop, The Opéra Garnier!
Paris is simply bursting with balletic goodness. Every street corner seems to whisper stories of past ballerinas, each graceful pirouette etched into the city's soul. My heart flutters with excitement, the anticipation for tonight's performance at the magnificent Opéra Garnier! I simply have to get my hands on tickets to the show tonight – rumour has it the dancers are phenomenal!
Before tonight's show, I plan to indulge in some delicious pastries – Paris is notorious for their amazing, light-as-air croissants, pain au chocolat, and macarons. A truly delightful ballet of flavour!
Fashion Adventures in the City of Love:
Of course, a Parisian adventure isn't complete without a spot of retail therapy. The City of Lights is overflowing with dazzling boutiques, showcasing Parisian chic and whimsical style! Imagine: vintage brogues, crisp blouses, flowing silk scarves - the possibilities are endless! There's something about Paris that makes shopping feel almost as enchanting as a graceful arabesque. The city is practically a fairytale. Just think, perhaps I could convince the owners of that boutique to feature my tutu collection – imagine a Pink Tutu Pop-up shop!
A Touch of Vintage:
No Parisian journey is complete without exploring the city’s vintage treasures! Who wouldn't adore a little vintage shopping spree? It's a delight to find those charming Parisian trinkets – anything from a dusty beret to a pair of lace-up gloves that belonged to some long-lost Parisian belle.
A Touch of History:
Later this week, I plan to pay my respects to the majestic Musée du Louvre. This historical palace will be the perfect backdrop to the Pink Tutu, no? Maybe I can have my picture taken standing in front of the Mona Lisa - with a tiny ballet shoe, of course!
The Eiffel Tower, Our Pink Tutu Sanctuary:
Now, no trip to Paris would be complete without climbing the legendary Eiffel Tower. It's practically a tutu-clad Parisian’s must-do! This majestic beauty rises above the city like a sparkling, iron jewel. Can you imagine the view from the top? The sparkling Seine River, the iconic Sacré-Coeur basilica - truly breathtaking! I already envision my photo with the Eiffel Tower in the background, my pink tutu a striking contrast against the city lights. A quintessential moment to share with you all on Instagram!
