Pink Tutu Blog Paris: Post #86 – Paris, je t'aime!

Bonjour mes chères amies!

Well, it’s Saturday again and that means another exciting post from the Pink Tutu Blog, this time from the dazzling city of Paris! I am currently sipping on a divine hot chocolate in a cute cafe by the Seine, my trusty little notebook and pink pen by my side, ready to tell you all about my Parisian adventures.

Paris has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl, captivated by the elegant ballets, chic boutiques, and the romantic cobblestone streets. And now, here I am, surrounded by all its charm, twirling in my pink tutu (naturally) in this magnificent city.

I arrived yesterday afternoon on the EuroStar, the plush seats and sleek carriages transporting me through the English countryside, the beautiful green hills eventually giving way to the picturesque French landscape. As the train hurtled into Gare du Nord, my heart skipped a beat! I knew I was in for a real treat.

I’ve always said the journey is just as important as the destination, especially when it comes to a tutu-tastic trip like this! For me, travelling by train is pure magic, so much more romantic than flying. I love looking out the window and seeing the world zoom past, catching a glimpse of local life, and the wonderful countryside! I imagine all the fabulous destinations I could visit with a comfy pink tutu-wearing companion (you?!).

Pink Parisian Adventures: Day 1

Now, about the wonders of Paris… Yesterday, after arriving, I wasted no time checking into my hotel, which is quite simply, divine! You won’t believe it – they actually have a pink tutu-themed room! Okay, so maybe not quite, but there are loads of gorgeous pastel pink accents and delicate lace detailing everywhere. It truly is the most fabulous place for a ballerina like myself!

Of course, no visit to Paris would be complete without a little bit of shopping, and let’s just say, I was absolutely spoilt for choice! My favourite haunt is Rue de Rennes. It’s a paradise for everything from designer fashion to cute vintage boutiques and antique shops. I am absolutely in love with the chic style of Paris – you can’t help but feel stylish just by breathing in the air!

However, before indulging in some much-needed retail therapy, I couldn't resist taking a wander through the Jardin du Luxembourg. With its charming flowerbeds, stately fountains, and grand sculptures, this park felt like something straight out of a ballet scene. I felt so inspired by its serenity, twirling gracefully among the elegant Parisian ladies (and even a few dashing men sporting tiny, bright pink bow ties, I’m telling you, pink is the future!).

After my garden wander, I decided to indulge my passion for all things dramatic, by visiting the beautiful Palais Garnier, the home of the Paris Opera. Oh, the splendour, the grandiosity! The majestic interior, the beautiful architecture and the intricate details, I was just completely captivated! You’ve just got to see it, darlings. It’s enough to inspire even the most uninspired ballerina!

As evening fell, I dined at a truly adorable bistro, with its red checkered tablecloths and rustic charm. You just can't beat a classic Parisian bistro! My divine meal was followed by an enchanting stroll through the Latin Quarter, its enchanting ambiance lighting up the night, and of course, my favourite pink tutu looking its absolute best in the soft, Parisian evening light.

Pink Parisian Adventures: Day 2

Today was an extra special day - the day I discovered the most exquisite shop! It's nestled away on a charming little street just off the Champs-Élysées, filled with all the beautiful ribbons, bows and feathers, oh my! You can see a photo on the blog, it's amazing, I had to snap some pics (I’m hoping it’s okay! I've also included photos of my tutu's and me exploring the Parisian streets.) You’ve just got to visit if you ever make your way here.

Now, no trip to Paris is complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower. It truly is a magical monument that radiates a Parisian energy! So, of course, I had to visit and climb to the very top to gaze out at the stunning panorama of the city. From up there, it felt as though I was dancing on a cloud above the beautiful streets of Paris, my pink tutu shimmering in the afternoon light, creating a stunning visual.

This evening, my love for the beautiful ballet, led me to the Palais Garnier once more, where I witnessed the breathtaking beauty of a traditional ballet performance. I can't even tell you how wonderful it was – the choreography, the costumes, and the music were all utterly enchanting. I even had a lovely chat with a ballet dancer afterwards (I don't think she minded my tutu!) It was lovely to share a little passion with another dance enthusiast.

Paris is definitely making its mark on my heart. There is so much to explore here - more delicious pastries and macarons than you could possibly imagine, gorgeous parks and charming hidden streets. The atmosphere, the architecture, the food, the passion for art and fashion, it all just calls to me. I feel a sense of joy and inspiration here that I’ve never experienced anywhere else!

The Pink Tutu Mission: Spreading Pink Tutu Joy

Now, before I finish my post, I must confess, the thing I am absolutely loving about Paris is seeing all the gorgeous pink accents and fashion, and of course, the amazing French people rocking fabulous fashion! I love the pink accessories, the pastel pink blouses and even the stunning shades of pink that adorn so many of the beautiful cafes and shops! Paris definitely understands the power of pink. This is, of course, fuelling my mission to get everyone twirling in a pink tutu!

Paris has inspired me to continue to push the boundaries and embrace my pink tutu persona. This city has such a wonderfully embracing and colourful energy. I can’t wait to see how Paris can add to my Pink Tutu world!

But you know what? I’m going to leave you all with one question, tell me…

Where would be the best place for a tutu-tastic fashion show in Paris?!

I hope this week’s Pink Tutu Blog Post has made you as inspired as it has made me! I will see you again next Saturday! Don’t forget to visit the Pink Tutu website – www.pink-tutu.com – and leave a comment with your answer about that pink tutu fashion show. I am eager to hear what you have to say!
