Pink Tutu Blog Paris #146: Ooh la la, Paris!

Hello, darlings! It's Emma, your favourite pink tutu-clad ballerina, and I'm absolutely bursting with excitement because, you guessed it, I'm in Paris! Paris! The City of Lights! The fashion capital! The home of gorgeous pastries and charming cobbled streets! I simply can't contain my enthusiasm.

As you know, I'm a huge fan of travel, and nothing beats a Eurostar journey across the Channel. I popped my pink tutu on and glided through the carriages, turning heads and leaving a trail of pink sparkles (that was my fancy powder, of course). My fellow travellers were all smiles, the magic of the tutu always has that effect.

I arrived in Gare du Nord feeling absolutely fabulous! The air smelled like croissants and flowers, and my pink heart skipped a beat when I saw the iconic Eiffel Tower looming in the distance. You can imagine the state I was in, a full-blown "I'm in Paris" whirlwind of pink joy!

Now, I've been here for two days, and let me tell you, it's been a whirl of delicious discoveries. Yesterday I wandered through the cobbled streets, marvelling at the stunning architecture and stopping for a cheeky photo op at every street corner, a tutu twirl obligatory, naturally.

This trip is all about exploring the Parisian fashion scene and finding the most stunning ballet-inspired outfits to inspire your own dance wardrobe. I've already stumbled upon a hidden gem, a tiny boutique filled with beautiful silks, tulle, and delicate laces. The shop owner, a sweet older lady, even offered me a free little feather boa because "a Parisian ballerina deserves to sparkle!" Oh, she just gets me!

Speaking of sparkle, the biggest treat of this trip was seeing a performance at the Opéra Garnier yesterday evening. I snagged a fabulous pair of front-row seats for a performance of Swan Lake (my favourite!). Oh, the beauty of it all, the elegance, the grace! I was swept away by the dancing and left breathless. This is the life!

But of course, a trip to Paris wouldn't be complete without indulging in some classic French treats. Yesterday I indulged in a decadent afternoon tea at Ladurée, my personal favourite, and the pink macarons were, as always, the stars of the show.

Today I'm going on a little shopping spree, and I’m sure you can guess where my first stop is going to be, yes, a gorgeous boutique I found near the Eiffel Tower overflowing with all sorts of beautiful things, some I know are destined for my personal pink tutu collection. It's all about embracing that feminine spirit, that feeling of absolute joy and light that a pretty, pink outfit can bring. I simply cannot imagine life without a good twirl, a pop of pink, and a dance of pure joy.

Remember, darlings, always remember to twirl like no one's watching, and never underestimate the power of a pink tutu.

See you next week, and stay sparkly!

Love,

Emma
