Pink Tutu Blog Paris - #147: Bonjour from the City of Lights! āœØ

Well hello darlings! It's Saturday again and you know what that means, another instalment of the Pink Tutu Blog Paris edition! This week, your favourite ballerina blogger is shimmying and swirling through the magical streets of Paris! This trip, I hopped on the EuroStar and arrived in the City of Love feeling positively fabulous, of course! Let me tell you, even a Eurostar journey in my latest pink tutu was a whole mood. šŸ˜

Speaking of mood, I just have to mention how perfectly the city lives up to its name. Paris is just overflowing with romance. From the enchanting bridges over the Seine, to the little cafeĢs overflowing with chatter and laughter, it's impossible not to feel smitten! My love affair with this city only gets stronger every time I visit! šŸ’•

A Day in Parisian Pink

As the clock struck Saturday morning, my ballerina heart was ready to start exploring! My Parisian schedule was bursting with ballet, shopping, and of course, indulging in a little bit of culture! My first stop had to be the famous Opera Garnier - absolutely iconic! Not only is it stunning to look at, itā€™s the stage for the most incredible performances, and you bet I was there for the opening act. Theyā€™re staging Swan Lake and honestly, the artistry is out of this world. I found myself entranced, watching as those delicate ballerinas danced with grace and poise - pure ballet magic!

Next, it was time for some shopping therapy at the luxurious Galeries Lafayette! The moment I stepped inside, the magnificent glass ceiling just stole my breath away. My pink tutu was the perfect accessory for a little afternoon of indulgence amongst all those elegant displays! Of course, I couldn't resist browsing the exquisite haute couture dresses - each one more incredible than the last! You'll find my newest acquisitions up on the Pink Tutu Instagram page. Keep your eyes peeled! šŸ‘€

Then, for some afternoon respite from my shopping spree, I enjoyed the charming, bohemian streets of Le Marais, taking in the vibrant energy of its independent shops and buzzing cafes. The warm autumn air made everything feel so charming, even the smell of freshly baked bread from the little bakeries.

But here's a little secret... I love my shopping just as much as my ballet. So, even with the promise of an amazing theatrical performance at the Theatre du ChĆ¢telet later, my afternoon ended with me hunting down the most beautiful antique shop tucked away on a cobbled street. It was bursting with unique treasures from a different era and I simply had to get myself some new pink decorations. (Shh, don't tell my Mum, she thinks I already have too many!). šŸ™ˆ

A Little Parisian Twist

Before catching my show at the Theatre du ChĆ¢telet, I found myself in the magical district of Montmartre. Honestly, it's a world of its own! The cobbled streets are overflowing with colour, energy, and artistic inspiration - every corner seems to hold a new surprise. My inner child came out to play as I explored the charming little ateliers of artists, the picturesque SacrĆ©-Coeur Basilica bathed in golden sunlight, and all the charming street entertainers, adding to the vibrancy of this little world.

Then came the piĆØce de rĆ©sistance: the breathtaking performance of ā€œA Midsummer Night's Dreamā€ at the Theatre du ChĆ¢telet. As the tutus twirled and the music filled the air, I was transported to another world entirely! The beauty of the music, the grace of the ballet dancers - it just left me speechless. I couldnā€™t help but feel an undeniable connection to these dancers, sharing a love of our art form. Perhaps itā€™s that familiar pink tutu on my own body that binds me to them, but even amongst these Parisian marvels, I still felt perfectly at home, in the very centre of a world filled with elegance and artistic flair.

Pink Tutu Post Scriptum

So here I am, back in my hotel room, thinking over a truly memorable day in the City of Lights! Iā€™m absolutely bursting with excitement for my next adventures as a ballerina exploring Paris. And honestly? I canā€™t wait to share it all with you next week!

*Oh! Donā€™t forget, I love reading your comments, dear friends! So tell me, what are your dream trips to Paris? What would you see and do if you had a day to explore? *

As ever, thank you so much for taking a journey through Paris with me. Until next week, don't forget to keep those tutus twirling!

Bisous,

Emma šŸ’•
