Pink Tutu Blog Paris - Post 161: Parisian Pink Perfection!

Bonjour, darlings! It’s your favourite pink-tutu-wearing ballerina, Emma, back from the City of Lights, Paris! I’m still buzzing from my trip – oh my, you wouldn't believe the fashion! And did I mention the tutus?! It’s like Paris just gets me… like we were made for each other! This post is a little bit special, too – it marks the very first blog post I’ve done from the heart of Paris! 🎉

I arrived on the EuroStar earlier this week, feeling like a proper Parisian chic in my favourite blush pink tweed coat (paired with a tutu, of course! You can't travel without one!). You can imagine my excitement. Paris! Tutues! And… well, SHOPPING! It just doesn't get better than that.

Right, let’s dive straight into the adventures!

A Tutu-tastic Stay in the Marais

I settled into a beautiful little hotel in the Marais district. The courtyard was a haven of pastel colours, bougainvillea spilling from pots, and a hidden little fountain trickling away – pure magic. This district feels like the most Parisian of Parisian neighbourhoods – narrow cobbled streets, charming cafés bursting with chatter, vintage stores overflowing with treasure… My kind of place! And the hotel itself was a dream. Not only was the décor in a stunning shades of cream and blush pink, but the staff went above and beyond, giving me the most exquisite service. I truly felt like a Parisian princess, especially when they presented me with a platter of Parisian macarons upon arrival! Oh, my sweet tooth was very happy.

From Ballet to Boutiques

Now, for those of you who don’t know, my little secret is that I'm a tutu-wearing dancer (I do perform, you know – enough to pay for all my travel!), and so a trip to Paris would not be complete without some ballet appreciation. You just can't beat the French tradition! So I booked tickets to see Giselle at the Opéra Garnier. It was truly exquisite, the choreography, the dancers, the music, all absolutely breath-taking.

Later that night, it was time to embrace Parisian style! After all, you simply can't come to the fashion capital of the world without doing some shopping! I lost myself in the bustling boutiqs of the Marais, browsing designer stores and quirky little vintage shops – I was on the hunt for a few new pieces for my blog, naturally. I found some incredible tutus, some stunning blush pink cashmere jumpers, and the most exquisite silk scarf. I’m not saying how many outfits I’m going home with… let’s just say, the suitcase was very full.

Dinner and Drinks on the Seine

No trip to Paris would be complete without a romantic stroll along the Seine, and an indulgent French dinner! It was just as picturesque as everyone says it is - the Seine twirling under the moonlight, the City of Lights shimmering on the horizon. It was so magical, I was absolutely spellbound. My heart truly soared – just like my tutus! I had a plate of perfectly cooked steak frites (with a sprinkle of pink salt, naturally), followed by a decadent crème brûlée, and of course, a glass of the most divine pink champagne.

The Art of Fashion & Style

Parisian style – it's not about following trends or being afraid to express yourself. It’s about confidence and effortless chic, all woven together into one beautifully unique tapestry. It's in the effortless drape of a silk scarf, the soft, almost invisible touch of makeup, the carefully chosen piece of jewellery… It’s a way of life, it’s Parisian! And it makes me feel inspired – I think I’ll make a whole series of “Pink Tutu Chic” tutorials for you when I get back, featuring the best of Parisian style tips!

Exploring Paris - On Two Wheels

Another magical Parisian experience I wanted to try was cycling around the city! Just imagine – you, a pink tutu, a Parisian sunset, and a wicker basket overflowing with baguette and cheese! I've always wanted to do it, and so on Saturday morning, I rented a gorgeous white bicycle with a floral basket and set off! The crisp morning air, the sights and sounds of Paris, and the feeling of freedom… pure bliss! I even found a lovely little café near the Eiffel Tower where I sat with my delicious croissant and enjoyed a coffee, basking in the sunshine.
