Pink Tutu Blog Paris #232: Parisian Dreams in Pink

Bonjour mes chéries!

It's Saturday, and you know what that means... another week, another Pink Tutu Blog post! This time, I'm bringing you straight from the heart of Paris! Oui oui, it's true - I've traded my Derbyshire cobblestones for the cobblestones of the City of Lights, and I can't believe how unbelievably glamorous it all is.

The EuroStar whizzed us here in a flash (I mean, the sheer speed of those trains!), and my Parisian adventure started the moment I stepped onto the platform at Gare du Nord. I swear, the air crackles with romance here, like the very buildings themselves are whispering secrets.

The past week has been an absolute whirlwind of pink and twirling. Where to begin? I must confess, the very first thing I did upon arriving was to pop into a gorgeous little boutique in the Marais and find myself a très chic new tutu. It's a delicate shade of blush pink, with layers upon layers of tulle so fine it could make a butterfly jealous. I simply couldn't resist, and believe me, my Instagram followers will be swooning!

Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a visit to the Opéra Garnier. Imagine this - the golden, glittering grandeur, the velvet seats that smell like history, the anticipation building as the lights dim… chefs kiss. It's enough to make a ballerina's heart skip a beat! This week's show was a dream, a classic production of "La Sylphide", the graceful movements so captivating, and the costumes… well, they spoke volumes about the elegance of Parisian design. Let's just say I'm now in serious need of some new shoes after being inspired by those exquisite pointe shoes!

I haven't just been indulging in classical ballet either. This week, I was completely captivated by a show by the talented Parisian ballet company "La Danse Moderne." They showcased contemporary choreography that truly pushed the boundaries of dance. Their energy, their creativity - it was exhilarating. I left feeling utterly inspired, and yes, wanting to add some contemporary flair to my own routines!

Now, let's talk about shopping! I’ve been absolutely spoilt for choice in the beautiful boutiques of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Parisian fashion, my dears, is all about exquisite fabrics, impeccable cuts, and that je ne sais quoi that only the French can achieve. My shopping bags are bursting with beautiful scarves, stylish little jackets (the pink one you saw in my latest Instagram story!), and of course, I couldn’t resist a new pair of black pumps – the ultimate Parisian essential, I think.

Between all this cultural and sartorial indulgence, I've been taking time to wander the city like a Parisian woman on her afternoon promenade. From the iconic Eiffel Tower (oh, how stunning it looks at sunset, lit up like a fairy-tale castle) to the charming streets of Montmartre with its vibrant street performers, I've absorbed the atmosphere like a sponge, every sense awakened. And of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a stop at a charming cafe for some pastries and a strong coffee!

This week in Paris has truly been a fairytale! It's almost too good to be true, but let me tell you, dear reader, it’s as magical as it seems. Every day, every corner, every glance, whispers a little bit of romance, of art, of pure, exquisite elegance.

Next week? Who knows! I'll let you know, of course. But for now, I’m going to slip into my blush pink tutu, hop onto a horse-drawn carriage, and enjoy a leisurely ride through the charming streets of Paris. It's a way of life, you know, just a pink tutu girl, taking on the world, one graceful step at a time!

Remember, dear reader, keep twirling!

Lots of love and pirouettes,

Emma
