Pink Tutu Blog - Paris, #277: A Whirlwind of Romance & Ruffle!

Bonjour, darlings! It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad blogger, Emma, writing to you from the City of Lights! I'm back in Paris, a place that always makes my heart flutter like a butterfly caught in a tulle storm! I know, I know, another Parisian escapade, you're probably thinking, "Emma, isn't it about time you explored somewhere else?" But honestly, how can I resist the call of cobblestone streets, charming cafes, and of course, the glorious ballet scene?!

This week's Parisian adventure began with a most fabulous journey aboard the Eurostar. Imagine it, lovelies! Me, in a pale pink tutu (just the right amount of blush!), sipping on champagne, admiring the countryside whizzing by. It was truly a fairytale voyage.

Arriving in Gare du Nord, I was greeted by a sea of Parisian faces - from chic grandmothers with impeccably-matched handbags to cool students with effortlessly styled scarves. It's this blend of effortless sophistication and Parisian charm that I just can't resist!

My first stop? Of course, a trip to Ladurée! You just can't come to Paris without experiencing their exquisite macarons, can you? A rainbow of colour and flavour, each one a little piece of Parisian heaven. The perfect afternoon treat with a delicate pot of Earl Grey tea.

After my sugary indulgences, I wandered the streets of Saint Germain des Pres, admiring the quaint shops filled with treasures I just had to touch (and maybe, just maybe, buy)! A beautifully embroidered clutch with a touch of silver sequins, a vintage Parisian postcard depicting the Eiffel Tower, and a book about the history of ballet - perfect finds to add a little Parisian sparkle to my life.

As evening fell, it was time for my Parisian ballet treat - a performance of "La Bayadère" at the Opéra Garnier! I adore the opulence of this grand theatre - the gold gilded balconies, the plush velvet seats, the feeling of history lingering in the air. And the performance was breathtaking. The ballerinas moved like wisps of smoke, the music was so enchanting, I found myself transported to another world. The passion, the grace, the precision – ballet is truly the art of movement.

After the performance, I strolled along the Seine, relishing the night air and admiring the iconic Eiffel Tower. Its golden glow is just magic. I felt that sense of pure Parisian joy that only this city can provide.

And what’s a Parisian escapade without a visit to the "Moulin Rouge!" This weekend, I am planning a late-night adventure! I imagine shimmering feathers, the glamour of the red velvet seats, the energy of the can-can, and of course, a little champagne. It promises to be a night I will never forget!

My favourite discovery this week? A delightful little vintage boutique tucked away in the Marais district. I found the most stunning coral pink tutu! It has the most beautiful embroidery around the hem, and I couldn’t resist snapping it up. This piece of Parisian charm is already calling to me for a new blog photoshoot - perhaps next week!

To the world: Wear your pink tutu! Show the world your love of beauty, grace, and whimsy! Let your inner ballerina shine!

As I type these words, the sun is rising, casting a gentle golden hue over the City of Lights. It's time for a coffee and croissant, and to dream up the adventures that this next day will bring. But one thing is certain: I’m living my Parisian fairytale!

See you next Saturday, darlings! And don't forget to check out www.pink-tutu.com for more pink-tutu-filled adventures!

Au revoir!
