Pink Tutu Blog - Paris: Bonjour, from the City of Lights! (Post #278)

Saturday, 23rd April 2005

Oh, my darlings! I'm absolutely thrilled to be writing this post from the most magical city in the world, Paris! It's truly a dream come true! I finally took the plunge and booked myself on the EuroStar – talk about an adventure! As usual, I had my trusty pink tutu packed and ready for some Parisian chic.

Let me tell you, the EuroStar was such a glamorous way to travel. It was smooth, fast, and I loved all the comfy seating. It felt so elegant and refined – just like Paris itself. Speaking of elegant and refined… did I mention I got a new tutu for my trip? It's a stunning blush pink, adorned with a delicate lace trim, and the softest tulle imaginable. I can't wait to wear it as I explore the city!

First impressions of Paris

I know, I know! I'm already gushing, but Paris really is something special. It's even more beautiful than I imagined. The buildings, the architecture, the cobblestone streets... it's all so charming. The Parisians are a different breed of humans – effortlessly stylish and sophisticated.

My plans for Paris: Fashion and Frolics

My week in Paris is going to be packed with adventures! On the agenda? Well, of course, lots of ballet shows! I've got tickets for Swan Lake at the Palais Garnier, and a contemporary dance piece at the Centre Pompidou. It's going to be an absolute dream. And, naturally, I wouldn't be me if I didn't spend a little time on the Parisian fashion scene. I'm planning a trip to Galeries Lafayette and the boutiques along the Rue Saint-Honoré, searching for the most divine tutus, dresses, and shoes to inspire my upcoming Pink Tutu designs. After all, you simply can't visit Paris without finding something special.

My favourite Parisian Moment:

One of my highlights so far? Having a leisurely picnic in the Jardin du Luxembourg with a book of French poetry. It was such a peaceful, serene experience. It really gave me the chance to soak up the Parisian atmosphere. You know, I think my love affair with Paris is just beginning...

Stay tuned, darlings!

There’s so much more to come from my Paris adventures. Keep your eyes glued to the website – I'll be posting regular updates on all the ballet, fashion, and exciting finds from the City of Lights! In the meantime, why not join me in a spot of Parisian inspiration? Grab a cup of tea, put on some French music, and embrace the beauty of this extraordinary city. Who knows, maybe even dare to wear a pink tutu! Until next time, mes amies!

Au revoir,

Emma
