Pink Tutu Blog Paris #292: Bonjour from the City of Lights!

Bonjour, my dearest tutu-loving friends! It's Emma here, back from another whirlwind trip, this time to the magical city of Paris!

I have to confess, getting on that EuroStar this week was almost as exciting as attending a performance at the Royal Opera House. (Almost!) The sleek, high-speed train, with its comfy seats and even a cafe cart, whisked me through the Channel Tunnel and into France quicker than you could say "en pointe."

Paris - A Dream Come True

Now, I've heard all the romantic stories about Paris, but trust me, they don't do it justice! From the moment I stepped out of Gare du Nord and saw the iconic Sacré-Coeur basilica glistening on the hill in Montmartre, I was smitten.

The air was alive with the scent of freshly baked bread, the sound of laughter and chatter, and the gentle rhythm of street performers playing enchanting melodies. Honestly, I felt like I'd walked onto a movie set!

A Day of Pink and Fashion

First things first, we need to talk fashion! Paris is simply divine for shopping. From the high-end boutiques of Avenue des Champs-Élysées to the charming vintage stores tucked away in the Latin Quarter, it's a paradise for a pink tutu enthusiast like myself.

This morning, I indulged in a spot of retail therapy on rue de Rivoli. I found a gorgeous silk scarf adorned with Parisian landmarks - it even had a miniature Eiffel Tower charm! And I couldn't resist a whimsical beret, perfect for adding a touch of Parisian chic to my tutu ensemble.

Speaking of tutus, this city has a special place in my heart when it comes to dance. Imagine my delight when I stumbled upon a beautiful ballet shop filled with tutus, shoes, and even miniature ballet figures. It was a total dream! I snapped up a pair of gorgeous pink ballet slippers adorned with little pearl-like stones – they're perfect for twirling around the cobblestone streets!

An Evening of Art and Ballet

Tonight, I'm attending a performance at the Palais Garnier - one of the most renowned opera houses in the world! The Opéra de Paris, with its opulent decor and impeccable acoustics, is considered to be one of the most impressive theatres on earth, and I’m SO excited to experience its grandeur firsthand! I've already snagged a programme, which I will proudly add to my growing collection of dance-related memorabilia!

It's hard to describe the sheer magic of Paris in words. The vibrant culture, the delectable food, the breathtaking architecture, the charming Parisian flair - it's a truly enchanting experience that I will cherish forever.

Sharing My Paris Adventures

I'll be sharing more of my Paris adventures with you all next week - so stay tuned for my next blog post, which will be filled with even more pink tutus, delicious French food, and all the magical sights and sounds that Paris has to offer.

And remember, you don’t need a pink tutu to visit Paris – but it certainly adds a sprinkle of fairy dust to the whole experience!

Until next week, my darlings, au revoir!
