Pink Tutu Paris - #303: Parisian Pinkness

Bonjour, darlings! It’s Emma here, reporting live from the City of Lights, Paris! As the Eurostar whizzed through the French countryside, I knew I was in for a truly magical Parisian escapade. Just imagine – a whirlwind of cobbled streets, charming cafes, the scent of freshly baked croissants, and, of course, endless fashion inspiration! It’s every tutu-loving ballerina’s dream, and this week, it’s mine!

Pink Power on the Platform

I must admit, I turned a few heads at the Gare du Nord. My favourite pink tulle tutu, the one with the diamanté embellishments, swirled and twirled with me as I disembarked the Eurostar. I’ve realised there’s nothing quite like rocking a pink tutu to brighten up a day. It's like a big, happy hug for everyone you pass!

Ballet Bliss in the City of Lights

As soon as I dropped my suitcase (and that stunning new pink velvet hat!) at the adorable hotel – it’s like a charming Parisian apartment right out of a fairytale – I headed to the Opéra Garnier. It was simply divine! This grand, elegant space with its magnificent gilded interiors is like a masterpiece itself.

I was fortunate enough to see a mesmerising performance of Swan Lake. It was a dream come true – beautiful costumes, talented dancers, and the magical story that had me captivated from beginning to end. I felt a certain kinship with the swan, after all, tutus are just the graceful attire we ballet dancers love!

The Magic of Montmartre

The next day, I explored the charming streets of Montmartre. The little Parisian shops, overflowing with beautiful treasures and handmade crafts, just beckoned me in. I even found the most adorable pink porcelain teapot, complete with a little ballerina dancing on the lid. It’s just the thing for a spot of tea in my hotel room.

Climbing the Sacré-Coeur Basilica was truly special. It felt like I was reaching for the heavens. From up there, the panoramic views of the city were just breathtaking! And of course, I couldn’t resist taking a couple of ballet poses – the Eiffel Tower was my perfect backdrop!

Tutu Twirls at the Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower, oh my! It’s even more magnificent than I ever imagined. It’s an absolute must for any visitor to Paris, and my pink tutu definitely stood out against its steel structure. I twirled and pirouetted at the foot of this architectural wonder, feeling every bit the Parisian ballerina.

A little bird told me there's a special ballet performance happening in front of the Eiffel Tower next month, and, you better believe I'll be there! Can you imagine, watching the Eiffel Tower light up against a night sky full of twinkling stars, a symphony playing, and ballerinas swirling their magic in their pink tutus!

Fashion Finds and Sweet Treats

Of course, no Parisian escapade would be complete without indulging in some exquisite fashion finds! From the stylish boutiques on the Champs-Élysées to the charming independent designers in the Marais district, I'm simply overwhelmed with the sartorial possibilities.

And the food? Oh, my sweet darlings, it’s absolutely delicious! Croissants, macarons, and crepes - I’ve already discovered my favourite patisserie on a little hidden alleyway – they have a divine rose macaron, which was my reward for a day of intense ballet training. I simply can’t get enough of this French culinary delight!

Pink Tutu on the Seine

This evening, I took a leisurely boat trip on the Seine, the twinkling lights of the city reflecting on the water, creating a scene straight out of a painting. It felt utterly romantic and enchanting!

Of course, I couldn’t miss the chance to show off my pink tutu! As I took in the view of the iconic Notre-Dame Cathedral, a small, yet vibrant and eager group of street performers requested a "ballet pose" with me. It turns out, Paris really does love its ballerinas in pink!

A Paris Diary in Pink

Well, my darlings, that’s it for this week's Parisian adventures! Paris has already captured my heart. Every corner reveals a new enchantment – a chic café, a cobbled street, or a breathtaking piece of art.

You know what they say: "When in Paris, wear pink and twirl!"

I can't wait to see what the City of Lights has in store for me next week, so stay tuned, darlings, as I keep my Pink Tutu Diary flowing with all things fashion, ballet, and Parisian pink!

Adieu for now!

Until next Saturday!

Bisous,
Emma xx
