#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2005-10-22 - Bonjour from the City of Lights! 🗼✨
Hello my gorgeous ballet bunnies! 🐇 It's Emma here, and I'm so excited to be sharing my Parisian adventures with you all. This week's post is extra special, because it's from the heart of Paris! As you know, I love exploring new places, especially if it involves twirling around in my trusty pink tutu, and what better destination than the most romantic city in the world? This is blog post number 304 - my little Paris diary - and I can't wait to share all the glittery goodness with you. You can find it all on my website, www.pink-tutu.com, every Saturday. 💖
I travelled here on the Eurostar, which is a dream for any tutu-clad traveller. Imagine me, flitting through the carriages in my pink ensemble, leaving a trail of sparkles and good vibes. 🚄✨
Speaking of good vibes, I just knew that Paris was the perfect place to be this weekend, and not just because of the beautiful sights and charming cafés! I've been so busy with ballet performances lately - the touring company has been taking me all over Derbyshire - so this trip is my much-needed dose of Parisian escapism! Just what my ballerina soul needed.
I am wearing my new favourite outfit today! My stunning new pink ballet skirt - it's full of tulle ruffles, of course, and so fluffy and glamorous - and I paired it with a gorgeous pink top with delicate lace detailing. Everything feels so vibrant here, and I can't resist the allure of all the lovely French fashions. This pink skirt just screams Paris chic, wouldn't you say? 😉 It’s got the perfect amount of ‘tutu flair’ to make my Parisian heart happy.
The day’s adventures:
As soon as I arrived, I couldn’t resist taking a wander around the Latin Quarter. There’s so much charm there – cobblestone streets, cafes bustling with locals, bookshops spilling onto the pavements... I swear the air just sparkles. It feels like you’ve stepped straight into a movie scene! I found the most darling little flower stall, where I bought a beautiful bouquet of pink roses – perfect for snapping pictures, obviously. The perfume was heavenly. 💕
Then, after a light and delicious lunch at a tiny cafe (where I had the most gorgeous fruit salad, which actually almost beat the roses), I headed for Notre Dame. Let me tell you, it’s just as spectacular in person as it is in photos. The stonework is simply breathtaking – the intricate details! And it’s impossible not to be moved by its rich history. 🏛️ Of course, it still hurts my heart to see it half-covered in scaffolding, but it was incredible nonetheless. This place is overflowing with romance and history. Just divine! ✨
After Notre Dame, I treated myself to some delicious French pastries – and I did not hold back! Flaky croissants, creamy eclairs, and macarons that would melt in your mouth... It was all absolutely heavenly. 🍰🍫😋 My stomach may have been a little full by the end, but it was so worth it. I don’t regret a single bite!
And this evening? Well, I’m off to a beautiful Parisian ballet theatre – oh, how I love to immerse myself in the artistry of ballet, anywhere in the world! But it’s even more special in a place like this! It’s the perfect end to a day of discovering new wonders. They’re showing Giselle, which I can’t wait to see again. It’s a true classic – all about romantic heartbreak and dancing on pointe. So captivating, so expressive. It makes me want to dance with every fibre of my being. 🩰✨
As I prepare for this exquisite performance, I find myself reflecting on my mission: to bring joy and colour to the world through the sheer beauty of the pink tutu. And this journey to Paris, with its fairytale atmosphere, is truly an inspiration. Perhaps one day I'll have my own pink tutu ballet company performing in the very heart of Paris!
Stay tuned for more Parisian escapades next week – there’s still so much to see! 🇫🇷 Until then, don't forget to sparkle and embrace your inner tutu ballerina! 💕
Love and twirls,
Emma xox
