Pink Tutu Blog Paris - Post Number 305 - 29th October 2005: "Ooh la la! Paris, je t'aime!"
Hello darlings! It's Saturday and time for another installment of the Pink Tutu Paris Blog, straight from the City of Lights. Can you believe it's been just over a week since I boarded the Eurostar and made the magical journey across the Channel to this beautiful city? Honestly, Paris never fails to sweep me off my feet, and I think it's catching!
Now, you know I'm a girl who loves her pink and my tutus, so this trip wouldn't be complete without the ultimate Paris fashion fusion: my brand-new hot pink tulle tutu and my signature sparkly pink beret. I practically danced my way off the train in a flurry of pinkness!
Saturday in Paris:
This week, it's all about theatre and dance, my loves! As I write this, the aroma of warm pastries is swirling through my room, and I can already hear the rhythmic strains of "La Vie en Rose" wafting from a nearby cafe. How dreamy!
My morning was spent at L'Opera Garnier, a place of pure elegance and inspiration. The grandeur of the building took my breath away - think gilded balconies, stunning crystal chandeliers, and marble staircases worthy of a royal palace. I even spotted some dapper Parisians, looking dashing in their tailored suits!
After a scrumptious lunch of crepes and a delightful cafe au lait, I found myself strolling along The Champs-Elysees, enjoying the sunshine and the vibrancy of this famous avenue.
And then, it was time for the real magic: the exquisite ballet performance at the Theatre de Chaillot. The programme this week was "La Fille Mal Gardée" - a whimsical ballet telling the tale of a young woman yearning for love and a bit of adventure. I was absolutely mesmerized by the grace of the dancers and the sheer beauty of their costumes. The energy of the theatre, buzzing with laughter and applause, truly set the scene for a wonderful evening.
But of course, no trip to Paris would be complete without a little shopping spree! My afternoon took me to the charming boutique "Rose et Bonbon" near Le Marais. They have the most beautiful selection of vintage ballet shoes and the most gorgeous tutus you could ever imagine - every single one begging to be worn and twirled! Naturally, I treated myself to a pair of delicate silk ballet slippers, just perfect for gliding across Parisian streets!
Pink Tutus and Dreams:
Every day in Paris feels like a scene straight out of a fairytale, and my aim, as you know, is to share this magic with the world! I truly believe that everyone should embrace their inner ballerina and embrace the joy of dancing. And you know what, Paris is the perfect place to let your tutu fly free! It's a city where everyone looks effortlessly stylish, a city where creativity flourishes, and where every corner holds a new adventure waiting to be discovered.
So, whether you're waltzing down the cobblestone streets in a gorgeous vintage tutu or taking a whimsical tour of the Sacre-Coeur in a whimsical tulle number, I hope you'll be inspired to embrace the joy of life and let your inner ballerina shine through!
My Next Post:
Tune in next Saturday, darlings! I'll be sharing my thoughts on the legendary Moulin Rouge and some fashion tips for finding the perfect Paris-style outfit, with just a sprinkle of pink and, of course, a dash of tutu!
