Pink Tutu Blog: Paris - Post #309

Bonjour mes chéries! It's Saturday, November 26th, and I'm in Paris! Oui oui! Can you believe it? My very first trip to the City of Lights. My pink tutu and I have taken to the streets, and let me tell you, Paris is just as fabulous as I imagined!

As many of you know, I’m all about finding beauty in the unexpected, and the Eurostar journey itself was such a treat! Honestly, it's the perfect way to arrive in Paris. You get to gaze out of the window, drink your latte, and maybe even indulge in a little shopping – all while watching the English countryside whiz past before the magic of France unfurls.

But let's get back to Paris, shall we? My arrival was nothing short of dramatic. Stepping off the Eurostar and into the heart of the Gare du Nord, the Parisian energy enveloped me like a cloud of exquisite perfume! The sound of French chatter, the smell of fresh croissants, and the chic people strutting by... it felt like I'd walked into a movie.

Speaking of movies, it's Les Misérables time tonight! Oh my gosh, you have no idea how excited I am. My friend and I have tickets to see the show at the Grand Théâtre, and the anticipation is just about to burst out of me like a spring-loaded ballerina. The music, the drama, the incredible costumes – I'm dreaming in a beautiful Parisian fog.

Speaking of costumes, how fabulous are Parisian fashionistas?! I've already spotted the most incredible mix of chic Parisian staples with trendy statement pieces. There are so many stylish details, like Parisian berets, statement scarves, and shoes that would make even Cinderella jealous! And oh, the purses! They're works of art, my darlings.

You might be surprised to know that one of my absolute favourite things about Paris has nothing to do with shopping or performances, even though I'm loving both, but with simply observing the city from the window of a horse-drawn carriage. Imagine it, my lovelies, gliding through the cobblestone streets in a carriage, passing under ornate street lamps, and watching as Parisian life unfolds in a fairytale like setting. It’s absolute perfection!

So, that's just a little glimpse into my Parisian adventure so far. We've already explored charming cafes with tiny pink chairs, indulged in freshly baked pastries that practically melt in your mouth, and I’ve already bought an extraordinary hat – a gorgeous floral masterpiece with a delicate veil that just screams Paris.

Don’t worry, my sweet tutu friends! My trip has just begun, and you can be certain there are many more Parisian adventures on the horizon. We’ll be exploring iconic landmarks, strolling through quaint bookstores with the smell of old paper and fresh coffee, and indulging in Parisian delights from every corner.

Of course, no Parisian journey would be complete without ballet! On my first evening, we headed to a grand ballet performance in the heart of the city. Watching those elegant dancers, all clad in flowing tutus, reminded me of just how important the art of dance is to my heart. It was utterly breathtaking, my darlings, truly captivating!

Later tonight, we'll have dinner in Montmartre and hopefully find the Moulin Rouge, it's the stuff of dreams! Then, the highlight of my trip – Les Misérables! The anticipation is reaching fever pitch, and I'm so excited to witness this theatrical masterpiece in the beautiful, old theatre. It's truly a Parisian dream come true, my lovely friends.

It's important to remember that a pink tutu can take you anywhere. It's more than just a costume; it’s a symbol of creativity, self-expression, and joy. This Paris trip is all about that – chasing those Parisian dreams in a swirl of pink tulle.

As the Eiffel Tower twinkles against the twilight sky and the streets come alive with music and laughter, I just want to say this, my dear tutu friends, every single one of you deserves a Parisian adventure – especially in a pink tutu! Stay tuned next Saturday for more exciting updates from the City of Lights!

Until then, let your own Parisian spirit bloom, wear your own pink tutu with pride, and dream big!

Bisous bisous,

Emma
