Hello my gorgeous tutu-lovers! It's your favourite ballerina, Emma, here, ready to whisk you away to the most magical place on earth - Paris! This is post number 313 of my Paris adventures, and oh my, it's a truly special one. Because you know what? Today is Christmas Eve, and we're celebrating in the most romantic city on the planet!
Now, I know you're probably thinking, "Emma, how do you manage to travel all the time?" Well, the secret's in the tutus, darling! I've been lucky enough to make a career out of performing ballet, and that pays for all my whirlwind escapades. But let me tell you, travelling is as much a passion as ballet itself!
This trip was extra special - I zoomed across the channel on the Eurostar, a real treat for a Derbyshire girl like me. My travelling companion? My trusty pink tutu of course, always ready for a Parisian adventure. Just imagine it: my ballet bag overflowing with shimmering leotards and a sprinkle of Christmas cheer, the sleek bullet train cutting through the English countryside, and me, lost in my world of dreams... Ahhh!
As soon as I stepped into Paris, I knew I was in for a fairytale experience. The cobbled streets glittered under the winter sun, charming boutiques burst with Christmas joy, and even the air had a festive fragrance! The Eiffel Tower sparkled against the twilight sky, a majestic sight that always makes me giddy. And that's before I even saw the amazing decorations in the Louvre! My dear, the sheer grandeur of it all is enough to make even the most jaded ballet fan do a pirouette.
But you know me, I can't visit Paris without a touch of tutu magic! This evening, I’m indulging in a bit of French ballet tradition – attending a performance of ‘The Nutcracker’. I simply adore this festive ballet – the magic of the Christmas season mixed with the whimsical wonder of Tchaikovsky’s score. I just know it’s going to be spectacular. I've got my dazzling new tutu waiting in my suitcase, a sparkly masterpiece of pink sequins and fluffy tulle!
Of course, my Paris adventures wouldn’t be complete without some indulgent shopping. The boutiques here are absolutely divine, bursting with unique clothes, accessories and all things French. I’m definitely treating myself to a new pair of elegant Parisian heels. Imagine - twirling around the Louvre with a vibrant pink tutu, a stylish Parisian jacket, and a smile wider than the Arc de Triomphe!
