Pink Tutu Blog: Paris - Post #318: Parisian Dreams in Pink! 🩰🇫🇷

Hello, my lovely tutu-loving friends! It's Emma, your Pink Tutu Blogger, and I'm positively giddy to be back in the City of Lights, Paris! As you know, I simply cannot resist a trip to this enchanting city, especially when it comes with a dash of ballet magic and the promise of pink galore!

This weekend, I whisked myself away from the rolling hills of Derbyshire (my tutu-clad haven) aboard the Eurostar. Those plush carriages are the perfect setting for a glamorous, tutu-twirling journey! The moment I set foot on French soil, the energy was buzzing - Parisians always radiate that certain je ne sais quoi, and let’s be honest, their effortless chic style never fails to inspire!

My Paris adventures have already begun in the most fabulous way. I kicked off the weekend with a visit to the exquisite Musée des Arts Décoratifs. The breathtaking architecture and stunning collection of French art and design were pure inspiration for my tutu wardrobe! The colours, the textures, the intricate details... It’s no wonder Paris has been the heart of fashion for so many centuries.

But of course, no trip to Paris is complete without some ballet! This evening, I have tickets for a performance at the magnificent Palais Garnier, home to the illustrious Opéra National de Paris. The anticipation is making my tutus tremble with excitement! Imagine, a night of ethereal grace, breathtaking costumes, and pure, unadulterated ballet!

To celebrate my arrival in this dreamy city, I found the most adorable, tulle-tastic shop in the Marais. Can you imagine, a shop dedicated entirely to tutus, of every shade and shape imaginable? My inner ballerina went into overdrive, and I simply couldn't leave without a new, shimmering pink tulle confection – perfect for twirling around the Parisian streets! It’s just what I needed for a sprinkle of extra magic.

The city's vibrant energy is swirling around me, inviting me to discover its hidden treasures, and I'm determined to see everything from the most iconic landmarks to the hidden gems tucked away in its cobblestone streets. I plan to visit the majestic Sacré-Coeur Basilica atop Montmartre, with its panoramic views and timeless charm. I simply can’t wait to immerse myself in its history, soak in the breathtaking vista of the city, and maybe even snap a photo with a Parisian puppy wearing a miniature tutu (because, who wouldn't want that!).

One of the delights of being in Paris is the sheer joy of strolling through its chic boutiques. The streets are lined with designer havens and charming independent stores, each one showcasing the latest Parisian trends and offering exquisite fashion pieces to fill my ballet wardrobe.

Today, I’ll be exploring the trendy Saint-Germain-des-Prés district. I’m hoping to find a vintage silk scarf for my hair (tutus and silk scarves – what a perfect pairing!).

Parisian street style is truly something else – think effortless chic, with a touch of sophistication and an air of effortless cool. You’ll spot locals sporting stylish scarves, berets, classic trench coats, and of course, chic, black and white attire. Of course, it wouldn’t be me if I didn't encourage a splash of pink! I think a little colour and a dash of playful tulle can only add to the elegance. Imagine how gorgeous it would look if every Parisian embraced their inner ballerina – a pink-tutu-wearing throng traversing the iconic streets! (Oh, to dream).

As I plan for the rest of my trip, I’m envisioning enchanting picnics in the Jardin du Luxembourg, romantic walks along the Seine, and evenings spent admiring the city’s magical illumination from a charming bistro (maybe with a flute of pink champagne, wouldn’t that be perfect?).

Paris truly is a magical city that invites you to embrace life’s simple pleasures – delicious pastries, beautiful art, elegant fashion, and, of course, the ballet. And it all comes together to create a breathtaking symphony of sights, sounds, and emotions.

Stay tuned, my tutu-loving friends, as I share my Parisian adventures!

Now, time to slip on my pink tutu and twirl my way through the streets of Paris!

Au revoir, and remember to keep it pink!

Emma
