Pink Tutu Paris - #319 - Ooh La La! Fashion, Fun and French Flair

Bonjour, darlings! It’s Emma, back from the City of Lights, Paris, with another exciting post for my Parisian adventures! This Saturday’s #PinkTutuBlogParis is going to be overflowing with excitement, and I know you’re all just itching to hear about it!

My trip to Paris started with a magical journey on the EuroStar – a symphony of speed and elegance. As the train whizzed through the English countryside, I felt like a princess on a mission. I mean, who can resist the romance of travelling by train? It’s like stepping back into a classic film, except this time, I’m in a pink tutu!

Paris was a whirlwind of delights as usual. On the first day, my first stop had to be the Opéra Garnier! It was stunning. You could practically smell the glamour! I sat there in the magnificent auditorium, imagining the history swirling around me – dancers pirouetting under the glittering chandeliers, the melodies echoing through the grandeur. Every time I visit, it still takes my breath away. I must admit, I found myself twirling in my pink tutu in the square outside – I couldn't resist, it’s Paris!

Speaking of ballet, I spent my evening watching the most gorgeous ballet at the Opéra Garnier. You won’t believe what a dream it was, all pink costumes and incredible athleticism. My favourite dancer even did a pirouette with 20 rotations. I might try it in class next week… (wish me luck!). It made me dream about leaping onto the stage, tutus a-fluttering, but perhaps my days on the stage are past.

Of course, my trip to Paris wasn't just about ballet. There were those irresistible shops and that irresistible fashion! Oh, how I love the Parisian boutiques with their chic window displays. I fell in love with this stunning lilac top with a ruffled collar at a little shop in Saint-Germain-des-Prés - just imagine how perfect it would look with my pink tutu! Of course, no visit to Paris is complete without a peek at the latest creations from Chanel and Dior - and a glimpse of a potential future outfit for my upcoming recital (watch this space, darlings!) The shopping streets of Paris never fail to inspire, don't they?

I also visited a gorgeous, old bookstore near the Eiffel Tower and found some beautiful old dance books in their French editions – imagine, these have been in Paris since I was just a little girl! They felt a bit heavy to carry around so I’ll have to ask my dear mama to ship them back to me at home. Maybe they’ll provide the perfect fuel for a Parisian-themed dance number in the upcoming spring performance in Derbyshire – something a little French fancy.

In between shopping and the shows, we spent time exploring. My favourite walk is always by the Seine. I mean, come on, darling, what's more romantic than strolling along the Seine with a cup of hot chocolate? It’s practically a cliché!

But honestly, Paris never disappoints. Even just taking in the iconic views of the city - oh, the Eiffel Tower in the sunset - it always takes my breath away!

Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a stop for pastries. They're light, fluffy and absolutely irresistible. This trip, I decided to try a macaron flavoured like lavender. Yes, lavender. The flavours just kept coming!

As for the evening, we went for a fancy dinner in a little restaurant tucked away down a cobblestone alley in Montmartre. We ate outside, beneath a string of fairy lights – a perfect Parisian night. I think everyone should spend a little time in Paris - it's a must-visit. The romantic ambience just soaks into your bones.

This Paris adventure has been everything I imagined – and so much more! From inspiring shops, to world-class shows, and delectable Parisian pastries – it's truly a haven for a tutu-loving, pink-adoring girl like me. Oh, and of course, I've worn my pink tutu with pride in every picture. Just think how many people will get inspired by pink!

I'll be back in Paris in April. Can you guess what I'm going to be looking at? (hint: it’s bigger than a croissant!).

Until next time, darling, be sure to follow me at www.pink-tutu.com every Saturday for more of my pink-tastic adventures!

Always dreaming pink,

Emma
