Pink Tutu Blog Paris - Post Number 320: The City of Lights (and Tutus!)

Bonjour from Paris, darlings! This Saturday's blog finds me nestled amidst the romantic charm of the City of Lights, a whirlwind of pink tutus, fabulous fashion finds, and the thrill of the theatre!

I'm so thrilled to be here for my latest adventure, jetting across the Channel with the elegance of a Eurostar (and by 'elegant,' I mean a tutu-worthy outfit of course!), thanks to my latest performance at the Derbyshire Ballet Gala. As you know, this ballet babe pays her dues for each travel escapade, but trust me, every pirouette, every leap, is worth every single glamorous moment in Paris!

This week marks the beginning of a dazzling week-long trip in this captivating city, a week brimming with experiences, sights, and of course, tutus! (Don't you just love how those words go together?). You can bet your tutu I'll be sharing each and every detail right here on the Pink Tutu blog, from discovering chic Parisian boutiques to finding the perfect cafe to enjoy a croissant while watching the world go by in a tutu (yes, even in Paris, it's totally doable!)

A Ballet-Lover's Dream:

Oh my goodness! You guys, let's just say this week has been a whirl of silk, feathers, and pure enchantment, in the most fabulous kind of way. Tonight, I'm off to catch a ballet performance at the Palais Garnier - I mean, it would be practically criminal to come to Paris and miss a chance to immerse myself in the magic of one of the most iconic opera houses in the world!

Of course, a Parisian ballet trip wouldn't be complete without a spot of "en pointe" fun! Yesterday, I found a stunning ballet studio tucked away on a cobblestone street. A lesson here wasn't just a dance class, it was a sensory experience - the rich history of the space, the graceful movements, the way the music intertwined with every gesture. It left me feeling refreshed and inspired! And as for the outfit, well, let's just say pink tutu + Parisian street = pure chicness.

Parisian Fashion Frenzy:

As you can probably imagine, my days have been consumed with exploring the boutiques that Paris has to offer, finding those "je ne sais quoi" pieces that make every outfit a symphony of style. From vintage treasures at Le Marais to the latest haute couture collections on the Champs-Élysées, this city's shopping scene is as captivating as its architecture. Every boutique felt like a runway show waiting to happen! (And honestly, you could find me doing a little impromptu pirouette in any one of them.) My favourite spot? The pink and glitter galore in the Le Marais! My suitcase may burst, but trust me, my fashionista heart is full!

Foodie Adventures & a Parisian Picnic:

Who says you can't be elegant while enjoying the best street food in the world? My Parisian food adventures have been a symphony of tastes, from the creamiest "crème brûlée" to a flaky croissant and a steaming cafe au lait. And, of course, a baguette and a dollop of raspberry jam while admiring the Seine! Today, I'm going to find the perfect spot to set up my Parisian picnic - it’s the most delightful way to enjoy the sun and the sights. Oh, I can just imagine the pictures for Instagram – a pink tutu, Parisian views, and delicious treats - a blog post masterpiece in the making!

An Afternoon with the Eiffel Tower:

I've been wanting to see the Eiffel Tower since I was a little girl and, let me tell you, it didn't disappoint! There's a magic in standing at the base of this engineering masterpiece, knowing it's a symbol of this enchanting city. It’s hard to believe that it was designed by Gustave Eiffel (a surname that really resonates with a Parisian ballet blogger!). To celebrate reaching the peak of this incredible tower, I’ve been perfecting a brand new ‘pink-tutu’ routine. The panoramic view is breathtaking, and let's just say I took a few photos to mark the occasion, of course in a pink tutu (you'd think they’d just issue one at the airport upon arrival in this fashion-conscious city!)

Finding Beauty in Every Corner:

What I love most about Paris is the way it inspires you to appreciate the little things - the elegant street cafes, the Parisian pigeons who seem to wear berets (don't be fooled - they’re not), the cobblestone streets, and the sheer beauty that shines in every corner of the city. It's like walking through a fairytale! This is where every day is a magical adventure waiting to unfold! Every Parisian cafe a scene out of a whimsical movie! And you better believe my pink tutu will be making a graceful, sparkling appearance in all the most charming corners of this incredible city.

My Dream – A Parisian Pink Tutu Parade:

My biggest Parisian dream, darlings? A Pink Tutu Parade in front of the Eiffel Tower! Imagine - hundreds of ladies (and some fellas - tutus are unisex, remember!) dancing together in a synchronized spectacle of twirls, dips, and ballet poses! Wouldn't it be fabulous? I mean, who doesn’t want to add some pink tulle sparkle to Paris’ already breathtaking skyline? I know it's a wild idea but hey, when was ‘wild’ ever a bad thing? Especially in a pink tutu! I think I'm going to have to find a way to make this happen! Anyone out there ready to make ‘pink tutu magic’ happen? Just hit me up on my social media or the comments on the blog! Who knows, maybe this Parisian dream is closer than you think!

I can’t believe the weekend is already coming to a close, so be sure to catch me again next Saturday for my next Parisian adventure! Remember to keep a sparkling eye out for all things pink-tutu in this stylish capital!

Until then, keep dancing, keep smiling, and stay fab!

Yours in pink-tutu-ly,

Emma
