#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 340: Ooh la la, Paris!
Bonjour, darlings!
It’s Emma here, reporting live from the City of Lights! As you know, this little ballerina loves to travel, and there’s no place on earth that fills me with more joie de vivre than Paris. I arrived on the EuroStar just yesterday, and I’m already in a whirlwind of pink, frills, and fabulousness!
This trip is extra special because I’m here for the most glorious ballet festival imaginable, Les Etoiles de Paris. Imagine, days filled with stunning performances by the world’s best dancers! My heart’s doing a happy little pirouette just thinking about it!
But first, let’s talk fashion! My suitcase, of course, was packed with the perfect mix of Parisian chic and ballerina flair. A cascade of pink, naturally, with some delicate lace and elegant lines thrown in for good measure. My pink tutu, my trusty travel companion, was nestled in between my favourite pairs of ballet flats, a must-have for all my explorations around this magnificent city.
Speaking of exploring, the moment I stepped off the EuroStar and into Gare du Nord, I felt that familiar buzz of excitement. I practically skipped through the bustling streets, my pink tutu fluttering with every move, and it wasn’t long before I was mesmerized by the charming shops and enchanting streets. Paris truly is a city that makes you want to twirl!
My first order of business? A little treat for myself, of course. A trip to Ladurée for the most delectable macarons - can you believe there’s a shade of pink just for me? Then, it was time for some serious shopping therapy. I just had to snag a gorgeous vintage hat from a tiny boutique in Le Marais. This vintage hat is perfect with a touch of French flair, and just imagine, a perfectly worn hat that once belonged to a beautiful Parisian woman in her prime!
Paris always makes me feel like a real princess! You know how much I love fashion, and oh darling, the streets here are practically a runway! My eyes were positively popping as I took in all the latest trends and classic Parisian styles. I even saw a chic little girl skipping along in her pink tutu, giving my heart a real twirl. It’s always such a joy to see other tutus out and about, don’t you think? We should start a tutuing revolution!
Of course, my weekend wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the world-famous Opéra Garnier. The magnificent building is like a fairytale palace, just waiting to be discovered. You can imagine my excitement as I wandered through the lavish halls, picturing myself gliding across the stage in a stunning ballet costume. I took in all the history, admiring the stunning décor and imagining the magic of performances past and present.
Now, for this week’s #pinktutufashion. Today I paired my favourite pink tulle skirt with a crisp white linen blouse. You’re all going to want this skirt - I just ordered it in all colours! The beautiful drape of the tulle and the simplicity of the white top combined create a look that’s both graceful and elegant - perfect for wandering the streets of Paris. My tiny little ballerina purse (the one I use for performances in Derbyshire!) goes beautifully with the whole outfit!
And speaking of performances, I am beyond excited for this weekend! I’m ready to be swept away by the elegance and beauty of ballet, my heart already tapping in time to the orchestra’s rhythms. Les Etoiles de Paris promises to be a whirlwind of brilliance, and I can’t wait to share every twirling, graceful detail with you next week!
