#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post #341: A Tutu-tastic Time in the City of Lights!

Bonjour mes chéries! It's Emma, your favourite pink tutu-wearing ballerina, and I'm writing to you live from the most magical city in the world: Paris! Oh la la, you just can't beat the atmosphere here. It's a swirling mix of chic cafes, cobbled streets, and that je ne sais quoi that makes you feel like a Parisian princess, even if you're wearing a pink tutu!

This week, I journeyed to Paris via Eurostar, which is always such a fun way to travel. Whizzing through the countryside in a high-speed train, all bundled up in a fluffy pink scarf, is practically my definition of a fairytale journey! As soon as we pulled into the Gare du Nord, I knew I was in for a treat. The air crackled with energy, the aroma of fresh croissants tantalized my senses, and everyone seemed to be brimming with joie de vivre!

Fashion Fever:

Speaking of joie de vivre, did I mention how much I've been loving the Parisian fashion scene? From the elegant ladies sporting crisp, tailored jackets and fabulous hats to the vintage-inspired styles that make me feel like a modern-day Audrey Hepburn, Paris has been a veritable fashion playground. Of course, I've been doing a little shopping myself, picking up some adorable ballet-inspired pieces from the Marais district. A pink beret and some gorgeous pastel tights just wouldn't let me leave the store!

Ballet Bliss:

But enough about clothes! My real passion in Paris, of course, is ballet! I've already spent several mornings at the iconic Opera Garnier, enjoying their renowned ballet classes. Watching seasoned professionals gliding through their paces, each movement so graceful and precise, has truly inspired me. Plus, I've been loving the way Parisian ballerinas wear their hair, elegant buns with little pink ribbons… just the cutest!

This weekend, I'm planning to see a ballet performance at the Theatre du Chatelet. They're performing Swan Lake, and I simply can't wait to see it! It's my favourite ballet, and I've heard the Parisian performances are simply exquisite. You know me, I can't resist a good ballet performance, especially when I'm in the most beautiful city in the world!

Food, Glorious Food:

As you all know, food is my weakness (don't worry, I burn off all the calories at ballet class!). And Paris has been a delicious paradise! My must-try? Freshly-baked baguettes, warm and crusty, perfect for devouring on the go. I've also been enjoying macarons, those dainty little masterpieces of pastel perfection, with a coffee at one of the many charming Parisian cafes. My heart flutters just thinking about the delicious pastries I've tried – and let's not forget the delectable cheese and wine!

Horse and Carriage Rides:

This wouldn't be a Paris adventure without a classic horse and carriage ride, would it? It was like stepping back in time, gliding through the romantic streets, watching the world pass by from the comfort of a plush carriage. The horses were so beautiful, and their gentle trots provided the most peaceful soundtrack for my journey.

Paris in a Pink Tutu:

Yes, my dear readers, Paris has truly enchanted me! Every day brings a new discovery, every moment is brimming with romance and elegance. I can't wait to share my next adventure with you next week, including a visit to the Louvre (I simply have to see the Mona Lisa!)

But one thing remains true: Paris always feels best with a pink tutu! So let's spread the love for all things pink and fluffy, and embrace the joy of ballet wherever we go!

Until next week, keep twirling!

Love,

Emma www.pink-tutu.com
