Pink Tutu Blog: Paris - #367 - Bonjour from the City of Lights! (Saturday 6th January 2007)

Bonjour, my lovely Pink Tutu Peeps! It’s your favourite ballerina blogger, Emma, back with a new Parisian adventure. As you know, Saturday is my sacred day for chronicling all things pink and twirly – and trust me, you're going to want to see how this Parisian trip has been positively oozing with the magic of pink tutus!

Now, I'm not gonna lie, getting here was quite the adventure! My travelogue begins with me donning my most fetching pink tutu – obviously! – and whizzing through the Chunnel on the Eurostar. If you haven't tried a Eurostar trip, I highly recommend it! You just settle in, pop on a show on the TV screen, and voilà, you’re whisked to a whole new country – perfect for avoiding any tricky luggage dramas.

Arriving at Gare du Nord in Paris felt absolutely exhilarating, especially since I'd been saving up for this trip for months, juggling performances, ballet classes, and teaching workshops to fund it. But my determination is fuelled by pink tutus and dreams of dancing under the Eiffel Tower, so it was all worth it!

Now, I just had to make my first Parisian stop at the iconic Galeries Lafayette. What’s a girl who lives in pink to do but visit the Parisian haven of high fashion?! As I stepped into the soaring, glass-domed space, my eyes nearly popped out – the pink department had to be the largest display of pinkness I’ve ever seen. My dear readers, this was pink paradise! You simply have to see it for yourselves, and then tell me, what’s pinker than pink, darling?!

Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a ballet performance! This Saturday evening I saw a beautiful performance at the Palais Garnier. I just love seeing the grace of ballet mixed with the grandeur of a grand opera house – it really does make for a wonderfully uplifting experience! My Parisian weekend wouldn't be complete without taking a spin on a real Parisian carousel, indulging in some delicious Parisian macarons (pink, of course!), and finding a charming cafe for a spot of people-watching, whilst taking in the Parisian atmosphere.

Today's post, darling, is just the start of my Parisian odyssey – expect much more exciting "pinktastic" news next Saturday, as I explore this amazing city. My Instagram stories will be packed with all my fashionable Parisian escapades - don't forget to give them a peek. Stay tuned and make sure to head to www.pink-tutu.com for all my latest Parisian posts! Remember, dear reader, anything is possible with a little bit of pink and a lot of twirling!

Until next Saturday, remember to keep your chin up, wear a pink tutu, and always dance to your own tune.

XOXO,

Emma.
